My friend who is a newly out gay man was excitedly talking about gay rights with me and I was thinking how happy I was for him until he then saw a girl who he "hates" walk past. when I asked him why he hated her he started bashing the fact that she was a feminist and how annoying feminists were and how they think all men are stupid and lesser than women and how that isn't equality, and how unnecessary feminism is. I was speechless and he just laughed off the look on my face.

One of my friends HATES feminists, and goes on how we all ignore the problems men have and that all the problems are equal blahblah. I told her theres a difference when a man goes out alone and a woman goes out alone, and I got a "Guys worry about it too, mostly small guys do too, whoever is easy to take down, not just women." While that is true to a point, people SPECIFICALLY target women for a reason.
One of my friend claims i'm not a feminist because i'm not racist and hateful like they all are. Tried to explain, but I didn't know what i was talking about obviously~~

I don't understand why anyone cares what John Legends +1 ticket to the awards has to say about anything or why anyone is pretending like what she says matters whatsoever. Contractions are useless. You spend all this time in elementary school learning them. Then you get to middle/high school, and you're taught that you shouldn't use them.
