RIGHT? The fucking grief of losing two of her children is what causes her to make such a drastic move of letting Jamie go (understandably!!!). But in this episode it was just like, "LALALALA I AM RECKLESS, LALALALA I WANT MY KIDS, LALALALA IDGAF."
Though she also knew that with the Karstarks all riled up, Jaime wouldn't live the night. Where is he more valuable - dead, or as a hostage being brought to King's Landing? I think even with how the show is doing great disrespect to her character, she still makes the smartest political move.
