verschreibsel 13th-May-2012 07:29 pm (UTC)
Yeah but an Avengers only post. This is for the whole box office. :)
creative_candy 13th-May-2012 07:29 pm (UTC)
oh right my bad :D
brucelynn 13th-May-2012 07:28 pm (UTC)
Avengers run dis shit!!!
masterofmystery 13th-May-2012 07:29 pm (UTC)
Dark shadows was so damn awful, wtf burton
vanishingbee 13th-May-2012 07:44 pm (UTC)
omg deets please

even the trailer looked bad but part of me wanted to give it a chance
sarahvma 13th-May-2012 07:51 pm (UTC)
I heard it was just plain boring, which is crazy because at least Burton could have made it campy bad rather than just bad-bad.
masterofmystery 13th-May-2012 08:24 pm (UTC)
it was just... like you could tell tim burton broke out a list of 'things that should be in a tim burton movie, always' and there it was (including a christopher lee cameo). it tried to be somewhat serious yet funny but overall really cheesy and just... ugh. but yes, as the other person mentioned, it was boring as fuck, as well. like this entire thing happened because a really powerful witch who could do/have anything in the world had a crush on some guy she couldn't get over? for CENTURIES? really?

tim burton still keeps trying to gothic/campy genre he's molded so well for decades now, but it just feels really dated; it worked in the 90s, but not so much now.

i wish he made more movies like sweeney todd; dark/gothicish, sure, but with more malice than campiness

idk what these ppl are even talking about tbh! i thought it was good. not like WOW AMAZING MOVIE, or anything. but Johnny was actually charming, Helena managed to NOT annoy me [probably had something to do with her not doing a british accent and not having crazy hair]. it was definitely one of the more enjoyable Burton films

also, it was funny as shit
windsong_moon 13th-May-2012 10:42 pm (UTC)
It was even worse than what I was expecting, ia.
underworld 14th-May-2012 02:35 am (UTC)
it was one of the least insufferable Burton movies imo

i quite enjoyed it and thought it was rather funny
halfslytherin 13th-May-2012 07:29 pm (UTC)
I watched the Avengers for the 3rd time on Friday night <3
grotesque_xxx 13th-May-2012 07:44 pm (UTC)

ONTDERS IN LONDON, ENGLAND.

DO YOU WANT TO GO SEE THE AVENGERS AS A GROUP. SO FAR I HAVE ONE PERSON WHO HAS AGREED.

LET US BUILD ON THIS PLZ.

Third time lucky? :/
thankshalott 13th-May-2012 07:33 pm (UTC)
Man if I was in London and not Cardiff I would be on it, but sadly I will probs be rocking up to Cineworld alone since I'm the only one out of my friends who's finished exams.

edited for clarity because I'm an idiot. Great first comment, thankshalott.

I got what you meant! Aw man such a shame, I have a Cineworld Unlimited card and everything :( I really figured it would be easier to find ONTDers from London! Though I suppose Londoners are notoriously wary of strangers so maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree :(
sevenbeat 13th-May-2012 07:43 pm (UTC)
If I were in London I would be so down for this.
proleptical 13th-May-2012 08:25 pm (UTC)
I'm in London but I leave for Manchester tomorrow.

I would so be in otherwise. :(
kumagoro_usagi 13th-May-2012 09:02 pm (UTC)
*Raises hand cautiously*
rylary 13th-May-2012 09:25 pm (UTC)
i would be so up for this if i wasnt in Manchester! Argh. damn it, why is London so far away.
mcdork 14th-May-2012 08:34 pm (UTC)
Aww, but im no where near London. I am Yorkshire.

And my Cineworld card isn't a london usable one. (I already used it7 times alone on Avengers, my monthly fee this month was well covered! :(
polaroidmoment 13th-May-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
My friend ditched me last night so I still haven't seen the Avengers. I might see if someone will go with me on cheap Tuesday.

But i'm watching We Bought A Zoo right now and it's adorable.
vatulele 13th-May-2012 08:21 pm (UTC)
Go see it by yourself?
polaroidmoment 13th-May-2012 08:36 pm (UTC)
Normally I would but this is a movie I want to have someone to geek out with :(
juniorquincy 13th-May-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
i stayed after work yesterday to watch dark shadows and it kinda sucked...definitely not a movie for kids but there were so many in there and i was loling
nschlongbottom 13th-May-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
What'd you do this weekend?

I went to visit my boyfriend's parents. We did see The Avengers tho. It was my 4th time.
_andrea 13th-May-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
Chris Evans was the best part of the Avengers.

I'm sorry, but his ass was perfection!
bostongirl2003 13th-May-2012 08:16 pm (UTC)
his everything is perfection.
theblackwidow 14th-May-2012 12:23 am (UTC)
Don't be sorry bb
zharia 13th-May-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
I really adore a lot of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp stuff but I just.. the same schtick over and over is getting so tiresome and boring.
tothechangmin 13th-May-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
wtf dark shadows was horrible, so let down. also i went with my younger brother so the suggestive scenes were super uncomfortable
brucelynn 13th-May-2012 07:31 pm (UTC)
Also Happy Mother's Day to all of the mommys btw

bliting 13th-May-2012 07:32 pm (UTC)
I'm excited for Cabin in the Woods to premiere here in just one more week.
sarahvma 13th-May-2012 07:52 pm (UTC)
Woah -- where are you?
bliting 13th-May-2012 07:58 pm (UTC)
Sweden! takes ages for movies to get released here, so getting The Avengers early was a nice treat for once.
soavantgarde 13th-May-2012 10:09 pm (UTC)
it's so good! not at all what I expected but I enjoyed it
grotesque_xxx 13th-May-2012 07:32 pm (UTC)
