i think it's awesome of her. i have to say if i was rich i would adopt a ton of dogs as long as i had the means to care for them/hire people to help me. i just love them so much and such an astronomical number of them need homes. it's so sad.
for real. if i could have a couple house boys who did the bulk of taking care of my dogs/cats and I just had to love and cuddle them, I would go to the shelter right now and bring 10 home.
I'm jealous of people who can afford to have a billion dogs. Also my neighbor's dog got preggo and she's gonna give me one of the babies, I'm so excited! This will be my first dog!
A friend's dog just recently had puppies- they had the pregnant dog xrayed to see how many pups there would be. It was so weird to see all the spines inside of that tiny little wiener dog.
Aw, I'm jealous! I can't wait to have my first dog but it'll be many years down the road. Still enjoying my first cat, but I'm going to have to leave him because he LOVES where I live and I want to move to America or Europe someday and I'm leaving for college anyway. :(
I worry that she'll grow tired of them after a time and leave her assistants/whomever to end up looking after them. That seems to be what happens with other young Hollywood starlets who have a zillion pets.
My sis in law hordes and this is exactly how it happened. She called them "rescues". By the eleventh dog, animal control caught wind and told her the law only allows two dogs per residence and she was in fact, HOARDING. She moved on from dogs to hoarding clothes and now children. She has seven kids. :|
She's had numerous dogs before and then when they bond with whoever she leaves them with for work she just buys more. As long as they're being cared for whatever but it's just off-putting.
eh she'll get stick for this, but if she has the money/resources to make sure they're well cared for, then i don't see the problem. it might even encourage her fans to adopt rather than buy.
I think it's dumb that she'd get anything negative out of this. She's rescuing dogs in need of a good home, she can more than afford this, and like you said, it may encourage her fans to adopt. A+++ on her part.
We have four in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment. But, all of them literally found us, two born and abandoned under our deck, one was abandoned by a neighbor so we took him in, and the last kitten walked up to my boyfriend on the street and started meowing at him.
Four cats is awesome, four cats in this tiny space is difficult. Wouldn't trade them for the world, though.
I say this as two of them tear around me like wild tigers. *sigh*
This is only the second. She's had Floyd and Lila for awhile and Ziggy she got for Liam's birthday in January.
You're probably not a fan of her, but I think it's pretty obvious she does care about them, and isn't just collecting them like Paris and then dumping them when she's tired. She talks about her dogs all the time on twitter, is always posting pictures of her, all her friends tweet pictures of the dogs too, etc. I think she actually, genuinely loves animals as opposed to Paris that used Tinkerbell and all the others as a fashion accessory
He. Was. The. Shit. When he cried over that one dead one, an angel got it's wings. Animal Planet was shady too pair his episode up with the lady with the 100 hungry cats. I kept yelling at the tv "I see what you did there!"
/csb
she's rescuing dogs
she should get cats next

Nice try to top the guy with 2500 rats though!

I know I would be animal hoarder if I let myself loose.
