As a young Australian gent, Liam Hemsworth is used to spending sun kissed days in the sunshine.
However, the actor's shoulders and neck area looked a little worse for wear as he stepped out with Miley Cyrus, earlier this week. The Hunger Games star appeared to have been suffering from slight sunburn as he went shopping at American Apparel, in Studio City, California.
The 22-year-old had clearly forgotten to fully protect himself from UV rays and displayed a red chest while out with his famous girlfriend. Despite looking a little sore Liam wasn't letting the pain of sunburn slow him down as he spent the afternoon with Miley, 19, shopping.
He let his shoulders cool off in a yellow vest which he teamed with a pair of denim shorts and trainers, while keeping his face hidden behind a shabby beard and sunglasses. Miley was dressed less casual than her boyfriend and wore a pair of jeans with sandals, a white vest and a light floral blouse.
It has been a bad week for the former Disney star as her movie, LOL, flopped at the box office last weekend and received bad reviews from critics. The teen romantic comedy flopped at the U.S. box office last weekend after being released in a limited number of screens.
According to sources, the film, which co-stars Demi Moore and Ashley Greene, earned approximately $46,500.
However Miley tweeted how proud she was of the film, despite the low box office receipts.
'Thank u so much for everyone who went to see LOL,' she wrote on Monday. 'It is a film I loved making and I am proud of. That's all that matters to me.'
Miley plays high school student Lola in the coming of age film, which is based on the 2008 French movie of the same name. Lionsgate, the studio that released LOL, unusually did not report official box office numbers for the film which was made back in 2010.
'My guess is Lionsgate had test screenings that were catastrophic,' box office analyst Len Klady told Yahoo.
The film was also not screened for press review, nor was Miley made available for press interviews to promote the film.

So PSA, wear lotion to the beach, bbs :/ (which I did but it washed off/wasn't applied correctly ughhhh)
If anything, you'll be a bit more resistant to another burn/ tan for a while.
