Shiny Toy Guns - III is Complete!

Nearly 4 years after the release of their last album, Shiny Toy Guns have finally completed their new album. III see's the band return to their original line-up.

A brief history lesson.

in 2006, after gaining a huge following on Myspace and in the LA music scene, Shiny Toy Guns released their debut album We Are Pilots (it was actually the 3rd version released, the previous two versions were released independently). The album was nominated for the Best Electronic/Dance album in 2007.

In 2008, it was revealed that Carah Faye was no longer a member of the group. Numerous questions arose and in return, numerous answers were given. The new female vocalist was soon revealed to be Sisely Treasure, whom had previously appeared on the Pussycat Doll's reality show, The Search For The Next Doll. Fans were left divided. This division further intensified when songs featuring Sisely were released. The second album, Season of Poison, was not nominated for a Grammy.

At the end of 2009, Shiny Toy Guns released the remix album, Girls Le Disko.

It was revealed that Carah Faye had moved to Sweden with her partner, Daniel Johansson. Together they formed the band, Versant. Throughout 2009, Versant released demos and recorded a cover of Abba's SOS. In 2010, they released their debut (and absolutely amazing) EP, Heartbeats.

In 2011, it was announced that Sisely Treasure was no longer part of the band. In Febuary of 2011, the following video was posted online...

The video confirmed that Carah Faye had rejoined the band. Together again. It was also revealed that Carah's husband, Daniel, was also to be a member. A new song was released to celebrate the return of Shiny Toy Guns

Throughout 2011 and early 2012, the band worked on creating the album and performed many live shows, including SXSW.

In May 2012, finally came the message that album 3 was finally complete. Today, another announcement was made..

Hello all,
We've heard the whisperings and questions as to whether Daniel (our most recent member) is still in the band. We want to clarify and explain for you exactly what's going on. Daniel and Carah are separating. There's no bad blood, only a deep friendship, left between two people who were together a long time. Because of this decision, as a group, we've decided it's best if Daniel and Shiny Toy Guns part ways. We love and care for Daniel as a brother and as a friend and will always support him in his future musical endeavors. Daniel's involvement in the band during the making of our new album is something we were very fortunate to have had.

Now we look forward as a band…and we know you'll look forward with us. As for Carah and Daniels' other project Versant, a decision has not yet been made.

This is the year of our return :) Not only with an entire new album of original Shiny Toy Guns songs, but now we return as the original four members of Shiny Toy Guns:

Carah Faye
Chad Petree
Jeremy Dawson
& Mikey Martin.
