Zayn Malik's Dancing Lands Him on 'Gay Spy'

Zayn Malik might just have scored legions of gay fans by dancing to an Usher song.

Harry Styles has seemingly been the member of One Direction with the biggest gay following thus far - the mop-top revealed that he gets signed underwear from male fans all the time. However, Zayn's bumping and grinding to "That's What It's Made For" earned him a mention in the "Gay Spy" section of the website Digital Spy.

Before watching Zayn's dancing video, Directioners would probably have all agreed that Niall Horan has the best hips in the group - he wowed the crowd during one 1D concert by swinging them around to do the Macarena, making Directioners declare that "Niall's hips don't lie" on Twitter. However, now Nialler is probably going to have to have a dance-off with Zayn Malik to decide who has got the best moves.

In the video Zayn tries to look smooth with some sensual hand moves, but he's got a silly smile on his face the whole time. He even tries to pull off a Michael Jackson crotch grab while his two pals play his backup dancers.

Zayn certainly looks like he's having a good time dancing, even though he once said that he hated it (maybe he's been practicing or taking lessons). So who knows? Maybe he'll show off some more moves at a 1D concert someday. The guys do a little dancing during their shows, but they aren't quite *NSync just yet.

Zayn Malik of British boy band One Direction may have single-handedly changed the face of celebrity hairstyles. With his trademark hairstyle, Zayn stands out among his 1D band mates.

Apparently, the "quiff" is in style and everyone from Cameron Diaz to Rihanna and David Beckham is sporting the unique hair trend.

Of course, One Directioners would say that Zayn looks the best with his quiff, which has become part of his trademark style since he shot to fame with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson.

"The quiff is more popular than ever," said Ken Paves. "It's laid back and cool. The trend is influenced by music, fashion and television, including TV shows like Mad Men and legends such as Elvis and James Dean."

Before being in One Direction, I probably would have done something relaxed like going to the cinema or going bowling. I can’t do that anymore- I can’t even go shopping, even when I’m wearing a hat and glasses. So I’d probably take her for a nice meal somewhere.

I’m a bit old fashioned when it comes to things like that and I’d definitely pay for everything. I like to open doors for girls and that sort of thing, I like to feel as though I’m the protector.

Yes, I’d probably text the next day because it shows I’m interested but not desperate.

for me, everything needs to be casual, nothing that’s too in your face or clingy. I find a girl acting cool attractive.

I actually didn’t think I had a type, but looking at all my past girlfriends, I’ve realised I go for brunettes with olive skin and brightly coloured eyes. Eyes play a big part in my decision. Megan Fox looking would be my ideal!

it’s a mixture of both- it’s something quite new for all of us.

When did you first realise you wanted to sing?
I was about nine years old. I joined the school choir and realised from then that it was something I wanted to pursue.

You seem like the shy type…
Definitely! I’m not your most outgoing person, I’m quite reserved, which I really can’t afford to be in this industry. So I am learning to be more confident and outgoing. Simon Cowell forcing me to dance when I was ready to chicken out really helped my confidence.

So are you comfortable dancing now?
I did ordinary dancing at weddings and what not, but it was never my thing. But I have professional choreographers helping me out now so it’s less daunting.

How are you dealing with the screaming female fans?
I think it’s nice to have support from anyone out there but for them to be female is always better! To be called a heartthrob is obviously flattering and I appreciate it, but it’s a bit weird.

How much has your life changed?
A lot! Just the other day, I was getting up in the morning, going to school, coming home and chilling like a million other kids, and suddenly we’re having these long hardcore working days where we don’t have a second to ourselves – but I’m loving it!

Does fame suit you?
It’s very strange because it’s been such an overnight thing – one minute nobody knows who you are, and the next you’re being viewed by 16 million people! It’s a surreal feeling meeting people who know you already. I’m too shocked to let it get to my head!

Your folks must be over the moon!
I’ve always felt like I’ve had the best of both worlds from my parents. In terms of heritage, music, tastes, everything. I’m very close to my dad, he’s like my best friend… but I am pretty much a mummy’s boy. She does everything for me!

Does your baby face get you out of trouble?
It has been known to! I always got away with a little bit more than I should have because I was a bit of a rebel but learned early how to work a smile!

Why are One Direction the next big thing?

There isn’t a boy band out there that is as young and diverse as us, with so many blends of voices in one.

Are you hiding a six-pack under there?
Er… yeah, kind of! I don’t really maintain it but it is there naturally. I’m not vain or anything! lol
