Hell yeah. But then again, Don had/has better chemistry with Anna, Peggy, Dr. Faye, Rachel Menken, Midge, Bobbie Barrett, the prostitute who slapped him around in season 4, and an end-table than he has with Megan. Their scenes all seem to consist of them making mopey faces at each other until she turns on that dopey grin up at him and he responds by looking like Gomer Pyle. Ugh. So fucking dull!
I think that Megan's a character that began as a pure plot device and the writers of this show are basically working up a flop sweat trying to get her to seem like this unique, amazing, incredible individual that Don would realistically go gaga for after his marriage with Betty split open.
Unfortunately, Jessica Pare's a very limited actress (she's good at conveying wide-eyed agreeableness but she's pretty wooden at expressing any kind of negative emotion) and the writing seems very stilted about Megan. She's artistic! She's loveable! She's sweet! She's sassy! She's a hit at creating campaigns and selling to clients! But now she wants to go back to acting! All in half a season!
Basically, the show keeps trying to sell her to the viewers but I ain't buying it. She comes off as a phony to me and her actress just isn't that good at conveying anything like complexity, however pretty Jessica Pare might be. I'm counting down the weeks until she goes, to be honest...
I know she's supposed to be 27 on the show but she sometimes comes off as being about as mature as Sally. Seriously, she and Don act more like rebellious-teen-daughter-and-father than spouses sometimes. Ick!
Omg, that scene was so lulzy bc it's like uhhhhh all the women were standing around laughing at the faucet while it's spraying water everywhere, including at them lol. Don was hot in that scene though. I like when he embraces his ~past lol.
