When “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” opens to the public at the Costume Institute on May 10, the first thing museum-goers will see is a short video, masterfully brought to life by Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, of the real-life Miuccia Prada having an intense dialogue across a long table with Elsa Schiaparelli, portrayed by the actress Judy Davis. Here, get a preview of the video, which was shot in Milan with the assistance of the Costume Institute curators Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton, before it is seen anywhere else.
