Even if this was well made I feel like it would still flop. So many people just have so many negative and sexist views about women doing action/comic book based movies. Not on this site, but just go on sites like imdb. I know that site is a cesspool but it still shows how disgusting people can be. Even though I'm not in a rush to see the avengers (I'll go when I think its less crowded), I was glad when someone I know told me BW wasn't overly sexualized and was well written.

Hm, I think a prequel would be a bad move. A movie set after the Avengers but including flashbacks would work better, I'd love to see some sort of adaption of Name of the Rose, though they may not be able to include a certain someone .

I would be a okay with a Black Widow/Hawkeye movie, but I def rather have her get a solo movie before Hawkeye. I hope she might pop up in the Cap sequel.

This isn't really confirmation though, just that Scarlett would be up for it, and Marvel may be up for it too.

Either way, I really want a movie with her as the focus. Hawkeye can be there too. And I'm torn about a prequel, because I like some of the mystery with her... but then I'd like to see her as a badguy, at least for a little bit. Maybe sequel thing with flashbacks? IDK, but it needs to happen. :D

I really would prefer a movie about Hawkeye recruiting her for Shield and they we find out about Budapest. There can be some origin but they I want them to go on a super adventure road trip. I don't say this because I don't think she could handle her own film (especially if they found a writer who can write a woman worth a damn) I'm just really curious about that line, why mention something so specific if there's not going to be elaboration at some point.

yay! I actually had a very very strong dislike for ScarJo before I watched the Avengers. I was convinced she had zero chemistry and average acting skills at best.

I still think a better actress would have played Black Widow to perfection, but ScarJo did a pretty good job. I thought Black Widow was a total badass and her character was really interesting.

Still probably gonna hate her in every other role she plays though, but i would def pay up to see a Black Widow origin story! ESPECIALLY IF IT INVOLVES MORE HAWKEYE BECAUSE GODDAMN I LOVE THAT MAN!!

my boyfriend and I both have such hots for her. we saw the Avengers with my bf's best friend too and he's never found her attractive but finally did after this movie.

As much as I'd love a female leading a comic book film, I don't think this is a good idea. BW success has more to do with her being well written/directed than with Scarlett's acting skills.

I really like Scarlett as a person (she comes off being funny and fierce in interviews), but I don't think she can lead an action film. :/

She was fabulous. I hope they don't fuck it up, BW deserves a good movie.
