1. Our boybands had dolls,
2. dressed as dolls,
3. were bilingual,
4. and extremely multicultural.

5. Our boybands had awesome fan websites,
6. were competitive,
7. and would battle it out on TRL every day.
8. Our boybands looked great in sunglasses,

although I was legit at the right age for the boyband craze of the 90s, I wanted no part of it. I didn't find any of those guys attractive, thought many of them were creepy (ahem Kris Kirkapatrick), and was way too cool for "contrived pop music" then (eventually I got over myself on the latter front...and now can appreciate some BSB/NSYNC songs retroactively).
BUT I am now stanning for 1D as an adult - I am not going into hysterics or anything, but I can appreciate how cute/catchy it is.
