Marina And The Diamonds 'Not A Fan' Of One Direction
But she loves Selena Gomez

Marina and the Diamonds has admitted that she is not a One Direction fan, saying she doesn't "get" the phenomenon.

The 'Primadonna' singer is due to chart at No. 1 on the UK Album Chart this weekend, though it is only a narrow 3,500 copies ahead of Lana Del Rey's Born To Die in today's midweeks.

Asked if she is a fan of the 'What Makes You Beautiful' boyband by Digital Spy, she responded: "I'm afraid not! I live in a weird bubble where some stuff just doesn't touch me at all, even though they're massive.

"I just don't get it. Maybe I have a cold, black heart or something. It might be that I don't like major chords in songs - I like menacing minor chords. I love Selena Gomez - she's got loads of them."

This week Marina announced that 'Power And Control' will be her next single, due in July.

Yea it doesn't read as a slam to me, just that she has bad taste no offense doesn't like their MUSIC and she explained why/her taste.

It's been out 14 weeks and it's still at #2.
It's weird though because her airplay hasn't been great as far as I know, and she's still relatively unknown in a name recognition kind of way.

Her airplay hasn't been great? I had been hearing Born to Die and Video Games on Radio 1 since autumn non-stop. I actually don't like her but she's been sneaking into everyone's minds imo.
