Instagram Goddess Lauren Conrad unveils her Beauty book cover and Summer Kohl’s line

Lauren had a busy week.



She headed to LAX to jet out to NYC for business Sunday. Her Kohl’s summer lookbook is out. Finally, she just unveiled the cover for her latest book Lauren Conrad Beauty—a follow up to her last best-seller Lauren Conrad Style.

My number one goal when putting Lauren Conrad BEAUTY together was to make it your go-to guide for all things beauty. This book is an opportunity for me to pass on all the things I've learned along the way (and share some of my missteps). Why is it that when Lauren posts a pic of grass growing on Instagram it hits the popular page but when you post a pic of the elusive Big Foot or Loch Ness Monster only your mom and friends “like” your pic-- and that's only after you promised to "like" 5 of their pics if they liked 5 of yours (yes people do this).


Does anyone else hate those Instagram filters? I just want to see pics of stuff the way it actually looks with true-to-life colors. I'm sick of all the grainy vintage shit

Same. I was disappointed in her Kohl's line, though. The clothes are cute, but I bought a pair of stretchy pants and the material was so cheap, they had holes in them after the 2nd wash.

my friend, who does like obsessive book reviews for her site, read the first book and said it wasn't that bad considering what she expected.

I used to work for KOHL'S and I loved her line. I thought it was very chic for something that was considered to be listed in the "Womens Updated" section.

I think her stuff is really cute but (due to size) I don't think I could pull it off.

I always forget to look for her shoes. I really liked those heeled grey booties with the bow. I think that was from last year tho so stores probably don't have them anymore : /

I bought those booties along with her faux grey jump boots last winter and best fashion decision of my life tbh they're so comfortable. I hate that it's summer and I can't wear them :(

i always have the same problem with her clothing line. i always loooove the lookbook, and when i get to kohls, all the cute stuff is gone :'(

I work at kohl's and I can tell that her stuff sells out FAST, and it's never a large shipment to begin with (at least at out store). Most of the line is usually online, tbh.

I HATE instagram. I don't care to see your grainy sepia-toned picture of your mac and cheese dinner with whatever you're watching on TV in the background.

found myself standing next to her at coachella during gotye's set. she was singing along, and looked all sorts of adorable. really didn't stand out from any other pretty girl I've seen in my lifetime, though.

So you'll be basically getting her collection for free? lol. An acquaintance of mine works in their credit dept and she barely pays a cent for Kohl's stuff since she could use kohl's cash and coupons along with her employee discount.

i just bought some of her stuff from kohl's the other day. i hadn't seen her stuff before (mostly because i tend to avoid kohl's like the plague due to my mother's obsession with shopping there - if i even mention it, she wants to come along and then it takes hours to get her out of that fucking store), but it was all actually really cute.

I find instagram, twitter, and pinterest sf weird. People seriously need validation from others so much.

Also instagram is like Photoshop lite cause the filters blur out imperfections.

I never watched her show and know next to nothing about her, but I do like her style. She dresses well.
