Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm to work together in TV drama
DANIEL Radcliffe has signed up to play a doctor in a TV drama.
Fans of Casualty and Holby City will be disappointed, though, because he’s appearing in a new four-part drama to be shown on Sky Arts.
Daniel will star alongside Mad Men heart-throb Jon Hamm in the show, about Russian doctors after the First World War.
The two actors will play the same character – with Daniel as the doctor in his younger life and Jon portraying the medic’s later years.
American Jon – Mad Men ad exec Don Draper – will narrate the story but will still interact with his younger self, Daniel, during some of the scenes.
A source said: “This is a great role for Daniel and he’s pretty excited about the prospect of working with Jon.
“He’s a big Mad Men fan and feels he can learn a lot from Don. But Jon knows all about Daniel’s qualities, too, so he’ll also be doing some learning.”
The series will incorporate some dark humour as the doctor attempts to overcome self-doubts about his competence.
But Daniel is used to working on dark scripts after his role in scary movie The Woman In Black.

I am kinda hoping that it just means that is going quiet for now until the right part brings him into the spotlight again
