ANTM’s Angelea Is Pregnant — Was This Why She Was Disqualified?
The mystery of Angelea Preston’s disqualification from America’s Next Top Model Cycle 17: All-Stars gets murkier and more intriguing every month. More than four months after the All-Stars finale aired, new information suggests that Angelea is pregnant, married, and currently working as a maternity model.
Was Angelea disqualified for getting pregnant just before the finale?
Her current Twitter bio reads, “For MATERNITY MODELING please contact [...] for COMMERCIAL MODELING please contact [...]” And on her Facebook page (though we can’t confirm that it’s her own personal page), she posted a photo of a sonogram showing a pretty far-along fetus.
On February 24, she wrote on her Facebook page that she had gotten married to Eric “Fah” Brown at the Queens Marriage Bureau. Her relationship status lists her as married to Eric “Fah” Brown, and her profile photo shows her with a guy grinning and hugging her very pregnant belly.
We’re happy for Angelea! But the timing of her pregnancy raises a very controversial question: Is Angelea’s pregnancy the reason for all the secrecy surrounding her qualification? The finalists were all back home before the finale (which aired on December 7). If Angelea had won the competition and found out before the airing of the finale that she was pregnant, it seems like a serious possibility that the sudden news is why Tyra Banks & Co. had to re-tape the finale with Lisa D’Amato as the winner and cut Angelea.
