I sincerely lost interest in this show after reading the books. I (painstakingly) got up to the 9th or 10th book and then just quit. They are so goddamn boring and repetitive. The best decision this show ever made was to diverge from the books.

That being said, I am kinda excited for the new season.

yeah, i couldn't remember because i knew that she had to keep up some skin care regimen to keep the rotting under control (didn't do much good). it's good to know that it's more than likely been lifted. would've been a horrible way to 'live'. i just couldn't remember if that had been addressed last season, but i figure it is this season since she appears to be all in one piece.
