Dance Rap? Drake Isn't Here For That...And He Talks About His Emotions Again

Drake is not here for that David Guetta, Pitbull-type of dance rap music. The rapper slammed the latest trend in the latest issue of NME and also discussed drunk dialing, sex tapes and defended his making emotional rap.

“For me the David Guetta stuff doesn’t work,” Drake explains. “I don’t really wanna go there. There’s other artists, that’s their sound. They feel in order to thrive internationally that they gotta do straightforward, four on the floor, David Guetta, Pitbull music.”

Drizzy continues, “For me, I’d rather go to somebody like [Take Care producer] Jamie xx and tell him ‘look I really wanna turn the club upside down, but I wanna do it with integrity, with soul.’”

So I guess we won’t be hearing a Drizzy-Guetta collaboration anytime soon.

Possibly Shading Nicki and Wayne? I hope so.Collapse )
