When Josh Hutcherson and Kristen Stewart starred together in Zathura: A Space Adventure many moons ago, neither one of them probably had any idea just how big of stars they would become. However, while they might be in a similar situation now, it's possible that Kristen wouldn't want to be pals with her old co-star since he could be competing with her boyfriend Robert Pattinson for movie roles in the near future.
There are rumors that Kristen is already concerned about having to go up against Josh's The Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence for roles since they're in very similar situations now—both are household names because of the blockbuster movies they starred in, so producers might see casting them as a way to draw crowds to their films. However, The Hunger Games seems to be more popular with critics, meaning that the stars in it could end up getting juicier future movie roles. So should Robert Pattinson be worried about having to compete with Josh Hutcherson for parts, too?
As MSN Movies points out, the guys have a lot in common—they've both dated co-stars (although Josh's relationship with Vanessa Hudgens has ended); movies based on young adult novels turned them into some of the biggest stars in the world almost overnight; and they're both unconventional heart-throbs. Since they've both become such big names, it is possible that they'll compete for future movie roles just like Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart could.
Jen kind of has an edge on Kristen since she got an Oscar nom for Winter's Bone, and Josh got to star in the Oscar-nominated movie The Kids Are All Right. However, Kristen and Rob both have upcoming projects that could get critical acclaim—Kristen has the Walter Salles movie On the Road, and Robert Pattinson is starring in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis. Meanwhile, Josh Hutcherson really hasn't landed a juicy post-Hunger Games role just yet, so at least Rob might not have anything to worry about for a little while.
So do you think Josh's career will catch fire before Catching Fire hits theaters, meaning that he and Rob could compete for movie roles, or are the guys different enough that they won't be considered for the same parts?

jk, I think they are two very different actors that suited for different parts. They shouldn't bump heads that often.
