Weren't they just opening for the Black Keys on their recent tour though? I love AM, but I was under the impression that Black Keys are bigger over here.

Makes perfect sense to me. Black Keys are a mainstream hit. Artic Monkeys and Pulp are still indie "cult" bands.... at least in America. And since that's where the festival is and presumably all the tickets are being sold to Americans, it makes sense.
