Reese Witherspoon with a baby bump at the beach

Reese Witherspoon is letting the pictures do the talking!

The 36-year-old actress, who has yet to officially confirm she’s pregnant, showed off a growing baby bump while on vacation at a beach in Costa Rica on Wednesday (April 4).

Reese wore a black one-piece bathing suit while taking a dip in the ocean with her kids, Ava and Deacon, and husband Jim Toth.

This will be the first child for Reese and Jim who tied the knot March 2011.

i always see pictures of really beautiful, stylish pregnant women and go aww i want that to be me! but i feel like that first picture is what i'd look like all the time. just hunched over and tired and ngaf about anything really.
annadraper 6th-Apr-2012 07:43 pm (UTC)
pregnancy is so not a good look
soul_amazinn 6th-Apr-2012 07:55 pm (UTC)

So much irrational rage swells within me every time I read the phrase 'baby bump' omfg. I used to think it would go away, that stupid phrase.. and yesterday I googled it and discovered it's been around over 6 years.

That's 6 years of crushing my scouter every time I see/hear that god damn phrase.
danne_gerous 6th-Apr-2012 07:40 pm (UTC)
I could not agree more with this comment! I fucking loathe that phrase and I hate the way it's worked itself into common vernacular so that everyone uses it now. I almost smacked my Nana in the mouth when she said it and I love her.
semalina 6th-Apr-2012 10:03 pm (UTC)
lmao
hoot 6th-Apr-2012 07:46 pm (UTC)
I HATE IT SO MUCH. It just used to be some stupid tabloid cutesy phrase but now EVERYONE is saying it.

Baby bump, hubby and wifey are the worst words on the planet.
vehiclesshockme 6th-Apr-2012 07:59 pm (UTC)
I can live with "baby bump". "Preggers" is what makes me rage.
weareglorious 6th-Apr-2012 08:20 pm (UTC)
Honest question, what would you prefer for it to be called?
applelions 6th-Apr-2012 08:25 pm (UTC)
I'm never having kids and it is still insufferable to hear.
fuckmyass 6th-Apr-2012 08:51 pm (UTC)
I HATE that fucking phrase so much and any other stupid made up phrase.
snortingcoke 6th-Apr-2012 09:38 pm (UTC)

mmmdraco 6th-Apr-2012 07:39 pm (UTC)
I'm going to look like this in a few months, I'm sure. I have to be in a friend's wedding and I'm putting off the dress until the last possible moment since I'll be 4.5 months then and have no idea how big I'll be then.
milly 6th-Apr-2012 08:19 pm (UTC)
You could go with empire waist, however big you get until then, it should still fit you.
timbershiver 6th-Apr-2012 08:25 pm (UTC)
Congratulations!

And yes, you're better off waiting, I was tiny, tiny, WHALE SIZED overnight.
pokebadgersofte 6th-Apr-2012 08:35 pm (UTC)
geez how much of ONTD is pregnant rn
paparatti 6th-Apr-2012 10:14 pm (UTC)
Everyone is pregnant. Three other people on reddit's Babybumps forum (aside from me), 2 other family members, 2 close friends of my husband (1 is having twins), at least 15 celebrities, and at least 3 other ONTD people. I do not know what the fuck is going on, but I hope everyone else is doubling up on their contraception.

ugh it seems like everyone is announcing they're pregnant on facebook.

not to mention that i was trying on clothes at a store with my 3 year old yesterday and he pointed to my belly (yes i've gained a shit-ton of weight) and asked where my baby is. i don't have a baby in my belly thank goodness. i asked him who has a baby in their belly and he told me his stepmom does. poor unborn child with two idiot parents and will probably be born with fetal alcohol syndrome just sayin.
squarerootofpi 6th-Apr-2012 08:50 pm (UTC)
Congratulations!
Yes, definitely wait as long as you can.

I bought a dress a few months back for a wedding assuming I would be relatively huge come the wedding.

I'm now 20 weeks, down 15 lbs and the wedding is Sunday. I look like a little kid playing dress up in the damn thing. :/
l27freakshow 6th-Apr-2012 10:05 pm (UTC)
You shouldn't be too huge by then. I'm almost 4 months pregnant now and still fit in regular clothes just fine. I just wear a belly band with my jeans. Some maternity stuff looks too big right now. I have a military ball to go to when I'm about 7 months pregnant. I'll be huge by then.
tigermilk 6th-Apr-2012 10:20 pm (UTC)
If it's your first bb, it might take a while for you to get really big.
zulkey 6th-Apr-2012 11:57 pm (UTC)
Is it your first? I'm 4.5 now and not that big. You can totally get away with stretchy nonmaternity clothes at that point.
_mo_mhile_gra_ 6th-Apr-2012 07:43 pm (UTC)
One of my favorite celeb moms!

I wonder how far along she is. I'm 22 weeks along right now with my second and I swear it looks like I'm about to go into labor any day.
mmmdraco 7th-Apr-2012 12:23 am (UTC)
She's probably not super far along. You just show faster after the first one. So, she's probably 2nd trimester, but not third. And, I'm like 4 weeks tomorrow. I wanted to go to my doctor today so I could go ahead and get a scrip for generic Zofran since I have been nauseous all day, but they were closed for Good Friday. One of the only things that sucks about being an athiest is not remembering when all of the random religious holidays are.
mynameismaryjo 7th-Apr-2012 01:21 am (UTC)
LOL! so true about religious holidays. i was on the train to philly yesterday and I'm like what the fuck are all these kids doing here in the middle of the day?! then people reminded me the kids are off for easter.
4illornil 7th-Apr-2012 02:05 am (UTC)
24 weeks with my second :) I think she must be on par with us. She looks maybe a bit bigger than I do.
heure_actuelle 6th-Apr-2012 07:44 pm (UTC)
who has yet to officially confirm she’s pregnant

i find this really odd and hilarious tbh. i know they mean her talking about expecting a baby but it comes across as "...she IS pregnant, right?"
alzzers 6th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
I love that she's not announcing it. It goes along with how out-of-the-spotlight she likes to be.
deftonedpiano 6th-Apr-2012 07:45 pm (UTC)
Yay, more Mini Reeses!

(that sounds like I'm talking about candy, doesn't it?)
saintmorse 6th-Apr-2012 07:49 pm (UTC)
I thought she did officially confirm she's pregnant? Either way, she obviously is, so it's kinda moot.
ladywilde80 6th-Apr-2012 07:54 pm (UTC)
That is more than a bump.
scarletfbl 6th-Apr-2012 07:55 pm (UTC)
LOL, she's doesn't need to confirm shit, now. I doubt she would, even after the baby's born.
