I hate everything about the first outfit - I dislike pale jeans on principle and I don't get wearing jeans with a sequin jacket: either dress up or don't, this halfway house shit ain't cute or chic.

I like all but the last of her dresses though.

my only issue w/ olivias outfit is the light jeans... which i agree i dislike 90% of the time in most situations. pair a black sequin jacket with darker (probably skinny) denim (or white or khaki would look good too). or go trendy to dress up a pair of colored jeans

I agree with the comment above on wearing coloured jeans with it. Maybe with a sheer black blouse underneath the blazer to have interesting texture?

a few years ago she was all set up to be a new york society doyenne and then that letter scandal happened. i still want to know who set her up lol. i bet it was tinsley mortimer...

iirc she was on the rise in the society scene in ny, getting a lot of buzz, rubbing shoulders with lauren santo domingo, tinsley mortimer, countless other socialites by birth or marriage. then the blog social rank published a letter apparently written by her begging them to let her into their social circle and it spread like fire and they dropped her. that's probably why she went on whitney port's show to find another avenue for herself to get her name out there because it was never going to happen in new york for her now. she's done pretty well for herself since then but still, it must smart a little because the world she really wanted to enter is closed to her now. she probably would've been on lsd's level by now. here's the story on nymag.

I know The City was probably edited for maximum dramatic content, but I still didn't like the way she treated Joe Zee.

In some pictures she's absolutely gorgeous, in others she kinda looks like the mom from that "I put my 8 year old on a diet" Vogue article.
