I read that as taking diving lessons in an Audi and I got confused.

you shouldn't have edited your comment. i thought you were trying to mimic her with some words capitalized and others not lol.
jmonkey3152 5th-Apr-2012 09:09 pm (UTC)
Unf sexy car, though I'm not crazy about the color.
galagooo 5th-Apr-2012 09:09 pm (UTC)
She doesn't know how to drive at all?? or is the car not automatic?
magwildwood 5th-Apr-2012 09:12 pm (UTC)
most of the people i know who grew up in manhattan don't/barely know how to drive, or just started to learn in their 20s
vanishingbee 5th-Apr-2012 09:12 pm (UTC)
she's from NYC, she might not know.
boss_sister 5th-Apr-2012 09:20 pm (UTC)
She's from Manhattan.

The R8 has an automatic transmission (but it's the auto DSG kind).
nyyankeegirl 5th-Apr-2012 09:33 pm (UTC)
I live in NYC and got my license a year ago and I'm 25! It's normal not to have one!
lanuitdete 5th-Apr-2012 10:08 pm (UTC)
i'm almost 22 and don't know how to drive. you don't need a car in nyc tbh.
ninjacandy 6th-Apr-2012 12:05 am (UTC)
i'm 20 and don't know how to drive, bb~

as far as i'm concerned why learn how to drive until i can afford a car. also, with options like walking/biking it seems unnecessary. #europeanopinions.
browniecakemix 5th-Apr-2012 10:12 pm (UTC)
Like everyone else has pretty much said, I'm from New York and I hadn't even done so much as sit behind the wheel of a car before I left for college (which is admittedly in L.A., so... y'know... I learned).
aquanite 6th-Apr-2012 07:00 am (UTC)
I didn't learn until I was 23... everything was in walking distance/good public transportation in the SF bay area/etc
music_lover56 5th-Apr-2012 09:10 pm (UTC)
omg I'm taking driving lessons the same time as the queen <3
musicalchic87 5th-Apr-2012 09:27 pm (UTC)
me too!
scarletfbl 5th-Apr-2012 09:31 pm (UTC)
I just finished my lessons. Now I just need to grow a pair and finally go to the DMV.
fallendaydreams 5th-Apr-2012 09:33 pm (UTC)
The DMV sucks ass. The test is easy though.
marmar627 5th-Apr-2012 10:37 pm (UTC)
Ugh, yeah. I mean, I know how to drive on the highways and such, no problems there ... but the fucking reverse. I just can't do it!
malocudoviste 6th-Apr-2012 08:50 am (UTC)
me too :)
noxonesxlooking 5th-Apr-2012 09:10 pm (UTC)
She looks like she came straight out of 1996.
jinnycalderone 5th-Apr-2012 09:10 pm (UTC)
omfg, i just sent this in!!!!!
professor_chaos 5th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
Is an audi an automatic or manual cause manual sucks ass!
morrbido 5th-Apr-2012 09:12 pm (UTC)
idk how anyone can drive automatic, especially during a longer drive
professor_chaos 5th-Apr-2012 09:13 pm (UTC)
it's called cruise control
abcdlovelife 5th-Apr-2012 09:14 pm (UTC)
but it's super easy to drive automatic
hiclasslowlife 5th-Apr-2012 09:14 pm (UTC)
i love automatic because it takes less thinking
radley 5th-Apr-2012 09:15 pm (UTC)
wait, what? automatic takes barely any thought whatsoever. a longer drive = hitting the cruise control button.
milly 5th-Apr-2012 09:16 pm (UTC)
It's so boring.
sofiascarlett 5th-Apr-2012 09:18 pm (UTC)
I only drive manual.
boss_sister 5th-Apr-2012 09:21 pm (UTC)
Automatic, but it's got the dual clutch gearbox with paddle shifters. So it shifts gears much faster than possible with a manual transmission.
brenden 5th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
lj cut
jinnycalderone 5th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
oop, hold on.
sofiascarlett 5th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
She looks really good!
jinnycalderone 5th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
damn, that was the fastest approval ever!!!!
vanishingbee 5th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
thank god I'm not the only one who can't drive

24 and counting with my g1 ("learners permit") only lol.
ioso 5th-Apr-2012 09:14 pm (UTC)
I have my G1 as well. But seriously getting my G2 this year, even though I'm terrified to drive.
vanishingbee 5th-Apr-2012 09:16 pm (UTC)
I'll get it before the 5 years experiation date is up, but probably no sooner haha. I hate driving, I live for public transit.
jinnycalderone 5th-Apr-2012 09:16 pm (UTC)
i kinda cant tbh. i have my license and went to drivers ed and everything, when i was 19, but i havent driven for like 7 years or more. it just scares me soo much lol.
naveedchick 5th-Apr-2012 09:17 pm (UTC)
23, and just got my g2 last summer, then moved to toronto and don't even need to drive (not that i had a car anyway).
satellite__eyes 5th-Apr-2012 09:17 pm (UTC)
My friend is turning 31 in July and she still doesn't have her license. I would go INSANE.
noxonesxlooking 5th-Apr-2012 09:20 pm (UTC)
Same here! Except im 22. Its annoying cause i can drive but i get SO nervous when im taking the road test so i fail lol.
lowlighter 5th-Apr-2012 09:21 pm (UTC)
I was 26 when I finally got my license :-x before that, I didn't really have a NEED for my license. But it is nice to be able to get up and go whenever I want now. Plus I like being in my little car jamming to cheesy music lol
ohloverx 5th-Apr-2012 09:22 pm (UTC)
I'm almost 26 and I don't have a license. Driving scares the shit out of me. That's what happens when you see a child get run over and killed in front of you at a young age. :(
scarletfbl 5th-Apr-2012 09:35 pm (UTC)
The same! I just turned 25 a couple months ago, but I finished lessons way before then. I'm just too chickenshit to make an appt at the DMV and take the driving portion.
lunchbag 5th-Apr-2012 09:50 pm (UTC)
Yeah I have my G2, and I need to go in the for the G test really soon cause my license expires in June. I'm an ok driver but I still can't park for shit and highways terrify me. Might just take the G2 test again to prolong my license lol.
leatherandjeans 6th-Apr-2012 12:12 am (UTC)
Lol same except I'm 26 and I got my Ls on my 16th birthday (the age you can get your Ls here) and then never learned. My permit is really just for ID.
unclesamonmars 6th-Apr-2012 01:08 am (UTC)
I'm 22 and just have my learner's permit. But I drive every day illegally because I'm just so lazy to get my actual license. It's pretty bad.
weirdwig 6th-Apr-2012 01:28 am (UTC)
lol 23 here, got my G1 when I was 18 and that was about it!
It expires next May though... so I'll probably have to retake it so I can get my G2 (if ever!).

Living in Toronto makes driving unnecessary though.
theunreliables 6th-Apr-2012 03:31 am (UTC)
26, G1 expired 1.5 years ago :/ No public transit either.
ts231 6th-Apr-2012 09:01 pm (UTC)
i'm 18 and just got my G in december. i rushed through the process, did my g1 and g2 tests as soon as i was eligible then waited about 6 months after being eligible to do the G cuz of work then school. i'm relieved to have it over with.
jjuunniiee 7th-Apr-2012 11:59 pm (UTC)
Hahahaha I'll be 28 on the 16th and I'm still sitting on a G1.

I really want to go for my G2 but I need to get new glasses first. :(
morrbido 5th-Apr-2012 09:11 pm (UTC)
don't driving school cars need some kind of sign on them?
destructo_ray 5th-Apr-2012 09:14 pm (UTC)
She's learning in her own car. As long as you have a licensed driver in the front with you you're OK.
morrbido 5th-Apr-2012 09:21 pm (UTC)
weird
aisling_ducks 5th-Apr-2012 09:50 pm (UTC)
That's really weird to me. Regardless of whether it's her own car or not should they not give some indication to other road users that they are only learners? =/
saintmorse 5th-Apr-2012 10:24 pm (UTC)
And in New York, the licensed driver has to be at least 21.
sadisticsidhe 5th-Apr-2012 09:16 pm (UTC)
Considering she's driving an Audi, I doubt it's a driving school car. Besides I don't think you need to do incars if you are 18+
screwhim 5th-Apr-2012 09:12 pm (UTC)
Maybe they were taking pictures of that sweet ass car unfffffff
sadisticsidhe 5th-Apr-2012 09:12 pm (UTC)
Man learning to drive was nerve wracking enough without having a camera in my face.

But she's like 26 and she's just learning? Is that a city thing? Or a Gaga thing?
silly_izzy_me 5th-Apr-2012 09:13 pm (UTC)
city thing.
phillymademe 5th-Apr-2012 09:13 pm (UTC)
probably city. a lot of my friends from college grew up in the city and had enough public transportation that they didn't need to drive.
scarletfbl 5th-Apr-2012 09:43 pm (UTC)
That's exactly my situation.
chuckisfuckis 5th-Apr-2012 09:15 pm (UTC)
City thing.
upood 5th-Apr-2012 09:16 pm (UTC)
new yorker thing
radley 5th-Apr-2012 09:16 pm (UTC)
city thing. I didn't get my learner's permit until my early 20s because I had no reason to. took the bus everywhere.
ladyserenity84 5th-Apr-2012 09:17 pm (UTC)
Definitely a city thing. If you live in areas where there's a lot of public transportation, you usually rely on that. Also, some people don't get their licenses until later because of insurance costs.
sdpt 5th-Apr-2012 09:23 pm (UTC)
she's trying to save the world but she can't even drive!
scarletfbl 5th-Apr-2012 09:44 pm (UTC)
Def a city thing. I'm 25 and barely planning on taking the test at the DMV.
floorpies 5th-Apr-2012 10:27 pm (UTC)
it's a gaga thing
silly_izzy_me 5th-Apr-2012 09:12 pm (UTC)
My dad has that car irl. I might get to learn how to drive stick in it.
