Benedict Cumberbatch Is 'Magnetic' in Star Trek 2 Says Alex Kurtzman

Star Trek 2 is currently in production, and one of the primary cast additions is Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the mysterious villain. Producer Alex Kurtzman recently praised the British actor's work in this sci-fi sequel.

"He's incredible. What he does with language is incredible. His training is amazing and he's so magnetic, he holds the screen in any size frame, he really is a joy to watch."

The writer-producer also spoke highly of his director, J.J. Abrams, revealing he is staying true to this iconic franchise.

"The movie is going unbelievably well. J.J. as usual is crushing it, he's doing an amazing amazing job. I think as much as we put all of our love and effort into the first one, there's even more in this one and he is really, he's such an exacting and beautiful director. What I watch him do, it's so amazing, he inspires everybody around him and he's been so utterly true to everything that we all have honored and loved about Trek so that's kind of where we're at right now. The finish line is in sight."

We still don't have much information on the story line for this follow-up, although he teased that this new crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise are still going through some growing pains as a unit.

"Without spoiling anything, the challenge is that you don't want to jump too far ahead and assume that just because they got together they're all comfortable with each other. They're still all working out their kinks and still becoming the bridge crew that we remember from the series. That's still very much alive and look, any good sequel is about the challenge that the group faces in order to become the unified team and I think that that challenge in this movie is going to be hopefully amazing."

Star Trek 2 comes to theaters May 17th, 2013 and stars Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

I've never even looked in any of his threads before, I just always see people referring to him as 'ontd's boyfriend', so I had to make a stand~.

It really is amazing how there is the same comment on the first page of every post about his appearance and when people point out that it has been said hundreds of times, the commenter says "well, I've never been in a post of his before." Every single time. The consistency is a marvel, really.

Honey, there is nothing for me to be over. You're the one with the attitude. I'm pointing out a fact that it isn't the same thing, it's the same series of said things.

You have the same ability to scroll and I don't see you scrolling past my comment.

well that's great to know, but I really haven't even looked in any of his threads before. So I'm not sure what you want me to say.

Don't even waste your time with this heffa. Go to any Benny post and this cunt is always there starting shit with someone. He/she is trolling in the deep. I think they have notifications on for Ben,which is annoying considering that they HAVE TO tell everyone how hideous/how much his fans are crazy in EVERY POST. Agrivating his fan is starting to become a fun little past time for them. Annoying.
