Me either and then I always chip or smudge it(or both) right away.

what helps for me is a qtip or a toothpick with some cotton on it soaked with nail polish remover. it helps get rid of the polish around the nail :)

The last few times I did my nails, my mom thought my friend's 3-year-old niece did them.

Ugh same. The coats are uneven and it gets all over my cuticles (which I can never get off without taking off the polish on the nails too) and there's always a rogue piece of dust or dirt that ends up on my nails as they're drying.

It's why, on the rare occasion I get my nails done, I go to a salon.

I stopped biting my nails a while ago, I mean I just stopped after just gnawing on them down to the bone for years. It's nice to have proper nails for the first time in my life.

Until I gave myself a nail infection. I went to a hypnotherapist, and she got rid of the issue in two one hour sessions. I haven't bitten my nails since. Of course though, I try not to keep them too short, because if I do, I think I'd start biting them again.

Me too. I bite them a lot less when I have them painted though. Though if I have polish off for one day, they're stubs.

I used to be too. Once I got out of the food industry and was able to keep them painted all the time, I stopped. I still pick at the polish some times but I make myself paint them again after. It's worked for me.

I love Vodka and Caviar by OPI for red and Dutch Tulips by OPI for pink. In fall I wear Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI.

I pretty much rotate those three lol.

OPI (just OPI) aaaaaand that's about it. Most of the colors I like are by them.

IDK what it is about OPI. I guess their colors really fail to impress me, and their silly names bother me. Judge if you want, but I would say buying a color is 15% the name, and 85% the actual color (unless it's just numbered).

That being said, I really really love Essie. Most of my colors are Essie, the two favorites being Devil's Advocate and Dive Bar. Second favorites are Nfu-Oh #61 and #40.

Revlon has great colors but a horrible formula and brush. Sally Hansen has okay colors but a fantastic brush. Orly has okay colors, and a fan-fucking-tastic formula IMO.

I like OPI, China Glaze and Zoya.

Seriously. I liked the Joy Division nails, and because I do not have the patience to scroll through fug nail art to see if any others didn't suck, I'm going to stick with the only set that actually stood out.

IA. I mean kudos for trying, but some of these are really awfully done. Not to mention, if you're not going to clean up your cuticles or get rid of excess polish on the skin surrounding your nails, don't even bother. Just looks sloppy.
