i love getting random tattoos.

that being said, i want my whole body covered, so i guess i have a lot of room.

It might mean something to them. I really like "tale as old as time" and "never grow old" they could be philosophies they adopted about life. Can't wait to get my tat that means something to me.

i have a disney tattoo and it means something! i did the disney college program when i was 19 and had an absolutely amazing experience so a year later, two of my roommates and i all go small mickey mouse tattoos. :) that was 6 years ago and i think it's the best tattoo i have

I also have the Deathly Hallows, and was explaining to someone what it was once, so he then asked if I practiced witchcraft. He was serious.

I just got a tattoo. My tattoo doesn't mean something personally, but it is well done and beautiful. I love it and the artist really put a lot of work into it. While I prefer original art tattoos, I can see why people get tattoos like some of the ones above, although I will never understand Tinkerbell tattoos.

To each his own, I guess, but I don't think I can ever bring myself to getting something permanent that has no meaning to me. Here's one of my tats, which has the most meaning to me:

Sure, they are Disney tattoos, but it doesn't mean they don't mean something special to someone. Just because they aren't special to you doesn't make it not special to someone else. Disney obviously holds a special meaning to some of them, or they probably wouldn't have got it.

lmao this! I don't get that mindset. I wouldn't get flash art I think, but a lot of people might and it might remind them of an awesome time they had or something. a lot of the tattoos I want are actually just because they're pretty than because they have a deep meaning. I have more trouble with badly done/badly translated tattoos than with whether it looks like it has meaning to a passerby.

ugh I know! My tattoos have meaning but one of them is actually a pretty long story that I never feel like explaining and it's nobody's business so if somebody asks I tell them that I just got the tattoos because I thought they were pretty. Of course some judge me after that.

i agree it's so dumb, a lot of the times i don't want to explain what they ~mean~ because either they don't have any meaning beyond me liking them or because the meaning isn't other people's business, it's my body and if i want something that i just like for no reason then whatever!

i have a disney tattoo but it's not obvious in your face disney. it's of the stained glass rose from the prologue of beauty and the beast and only when i point it out do most people realize that's where it's from

It's probably my favorite ride, tied with Pirates. Last time I went to Disneyland it was so hard to not blow all of my money on the art prints of the stretching portraits from the Mansion.

Same. Between that and Pirates, I'm not sure which I like more. But it's my first time to Walt Disney World in May so I'm curious to see if they are different from the ones in Disneyland.

Yes, I do too. The first time I got a tattoo the first time it touched me I thought OMG MAKE IT STOP but I remembered it'd look dumb that he did. And then I got another one a year later after forgetting how it felt, and i thought it again, and the same for my 3rd tattoo hahaha

THANK YOU! I have to get tests done annually and I have to get an IV and I freak every single time. Like my blood pressure sky rockets.
The first time I got an IV I was having a panic attack and the nurse took my blood pressure after she put the IV so it was at 174 and then was like 'Oh! I guess I should have taken the BP before putting the needle in.'

i pass out whenever i get shots/blood drawn, but i also have a 4 tattoos including a relatively large back piece. i'm super confusing to all doctors. but seriously, NOTHING ALIKE.

ME! The only thing more common than hearing "did it hurt?!" is "OMG I couldn't get a tattoo, I hate needles" and whenever I tell people I hate needles too, they look at me like I'm crazy.

I have a friend who is mortally afraid of hypodermic needles but has no problems getting tattooed.

I have three tattoos, barely flinched getting them, but I once made a medtech cry because I kept sobbing and hyperventilating when they were trying to take blood and I could not stop freaking out. Having the needle left in for ages is so different from getting a tattoo -- and way more upsetting/freaky to me.

Yep, I have a tattoo, and getting it didn't bother me at all, but I have a tendency to get faint when I have to give blood.

nooooo! i HATE needles!! i don't even watch when i get a tattoo done, but like you said, it's different than when they take blood.

I'm the opposite, I don't mind getting shots or IVs AS LONG AS I can watch them putting the needle in.

But I'm scared getting a tattoo because of how long it takes. I'm a wimp.

BAHAHA. Yes. I'm not a fan of needles and I have a couple of tattoos but my issue is more the needle sitting in my skin and I definately can't see the needle in the tattoo gun. But I started donating blood about a year ago so I'm learning to deal with the needle thing.


I also have peircings and it took me a really long time to get used to the concept of changing the earring. It used to FREAK me out

I get this too. I went to get pierced last week and the guy said, "Oh you have tattoos! You'll be fine." Uh, NO. I'm TERRIFIED of needles. I told him it was best that I lay down before he pull them out. He looked at me like I had lost my mind.

I had my blood done two weeks ago and when the woman heard I had a tattoo she was like "Oh, then you'll be fine!", I almost screamed back "Nuh-uh! I hate it when people steal my blood!".
I was ready to pass out. They always have to have me sit way back and look away because I can't handle a needle going into my veins.
There's a huge difference when veins are involved. Huge.
I've never had an IV and I dread the possibility.

I am really really hoping these are like the lick on temporary tattoos because it's just so random and the sizes just don't make sense (ie: Nemo).

So terribly thrown together. At least get some stuff filling it in. I have a friend who has a half sleeve of pretty random stuff, but filled in the empty spaces with clouds, so it looks soooo much better.
