I still think that's one of the least productive or positive ways to react if you are anti-fur.
I'm pretty against all the pro-life protesters outside of clinics etc but I don't throw stuff at/on them to show it. I just vote for pro-choice representatives, speak out about the importance of a woman's right to choose, and support patients in their right to choose (I work in healthcare).
I just don't understand why people waste their time on such petty and non-productive means of protest. It's immature and downright stupid. "What did you do with your life?" "Well I was morally against fur, so I threw flour on celebrities who wore it".
Really? But I guess if that's what someone aspires to, whatever.
i would just dump flowers on her in memory of the animals that died so she can wear fur. to me that's more significant than embarrassing/shaming the person wearing it.
i think it's to raise awareness. peta is actually really good at making animal rights "known". whether you agree with what they do, some of the things they do, or nothing that they do, many people probably wouldn't even be aware of animal rights or that animals can/should have rights if it weren't for outlandish stunts like these
and ya you can say that they're hurting the cause but i think getting the message out at all like they have had a positive effect for animal rights. organizations are terrified of pissing them off
fur is tacky as hell

Kris is now probably gonna endorse some Kardashian branded kooking flour.
