Hugh Grant says he 'likes' his baby but he won't set up a trust fund for her

Hugh Grant says he "likes" his new daughter "very much" but she hasn't really changed his life and there's no way she'll end up spoiled — thanks to his decision not to give her access to his fortune.

The 51-year-old first-time dad has finally spoken publicly about the child he fathered with former lover Tinglan Hong last year, admitting in an interview with The Guardian that he's more impressed by six-month-old baby Tabitha than he expected to be.

"Lots of people warned me [that] the baby period is not that exciting. But I am excited, actually," Hugh told the UK paper. "I thought, well, I'll bluff through — but very little bluffing has been required.

"I like my daughter very much," he continued. "Has she changed my life? I'm not sure. Not yet. Not massively, no. But I'm absolutely thrilled to have had her, I really am. And I feel a better person."

The actor also revealed that he plans to be "incredibly strict" when it comes to combatting any signs of bad manners or selfishness in his daughter. "It's just unattractive in a child, I don't like it," he said. "I do think discipline's important."

Hugh also stressed the importance of "not giving your children money", confirming that he won't be setting up a trust fund for his child.

"I see nothing but f--k-ups among my trust-fund friends," he said. "It's like 99% f--k-ups. So I would not want to do that to my children, no."

It sounds pretty harsh, but does Hugh have a point? Will his kid turn out nicer if she grows up without his millions?

And when he says he "likes" her, is that just his stuffy Englishman way of saying he "loves" her? We hope so!

they're second cousins once removed lol, that's not a close relation.

The formal degree of kinship doesn't matter gnat once you ask yourself: would have they chosen him in the first place if he weren't his relative?

remember that probably thousands of kids auditioned for that part... and it went to that kid who's Hug Grant's second cousin once removed. Calculate the odds and make an educated guess. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's highly unlikely.
