Fabulous Sex And The City Townhouse For Sale: Take A Peek Inside!!!

Sex And The City fans are still obsessed with the show even 14 years after it first hit the small screen, and now adoring followers can fulfill their dream of living like Carrie Bradshaw for a $9.65 million!

We now can all see what’s behind the grand facade of the townhouse used for those exterior shots, since the historic single-family home at 64 Perry Street has hit the real estate market.

According to Sothebys, which holds the listing, only two families have lived in the 5-bedroom, 4,100-square-foot 3-bathroom home since it was designed by architect Robert Mook and built in 1866.

“Rich in original details, such as herringbone wood floors with exquisite inlaid borders, 6 fireplaces with carved marble mantels, & beautifully proportioned rooms with ornate crown & ceiling moldings, the home is waiting to be restored to its original grandeur,” states the realtor.

It truly is a home fit for a style queen!

The girl I babysit lives close by this apartment. Every time I walk past it I cry knowing I will never live like that.
giraffield 20th-Mar-2012 05:42 am (UTC)
don't cry maybe someday you will get hit by a lexus and get a huge amount of money in settlement then you can live like that

Honestly? Little English-style stone cottage. Cozy.

i love modern-looking houses
syzygy09 Re: What is your dream house?20th-Mar-2012 05:52 am (UTC)
One of my former coworkers had his house on the cover of Dwell. His home was super amazing. It was crazy modern but on a huge lawn in a downtown area. Very impressive.

That said, while I enjoy modern homes, it's ultimately not MY cup of tea.

Same. Though I hate the exposed air duct. Fuck that shit.

Ooh. That is sexy. I'd either want a house like that or a Craftsman bungalow.
khanada Re: What is your dream house?20th-Mar-2012 09:34 am (UTC)
omg yes! i love square stuff, and i love that the lawn is all rocks. i'm really allergic to grass (when it's being cut, i'm fine otherwise though) so if i ever had my own place i just don't want a lawn. so i'm all about either fake grass or rocks.

My dream home would actually be a Manhattan townhouse, tbh. Then my next vacation-home goals would be a chalet in Chamonix, a small vineyard in Tuscany, and the villa I currently live in. Bah. I miss New York.

One out of four, though. Just need to work three houses harder.

Some rich person in the 1920s built a mini Neuschwanstein in my city:

It's kinda tacky lol. If not this house I'd get something with baroque interiors and a haussmann or baronial exterior.
sitakhet Re: What is your dream house?20th-Mar-2012 11:29 am (UTC)
Something built pre-1929, with original floors and features, a clawfoot tub and a working fireplace.

I'd love a Beacon Hill rowhouse.

Ugh-- I wish I were rich.
syzygy09 20th-Mar-2012 05:40 am (UTC)
If I had the money to spend on such real estate, that obnoxious gold shit would be gone so fast.

Then again, if I had the money to spend on such real estate I'd probably be super tacky.

I'd give my left arm to be able to comfortably live anywhere in Manhattan. Def doesn't have to be a fraction that nice, but it's my dream to own a place <3

I'm born and raised in California, it's been good to me, and I can see the great things about LA where others can't, but there is just something about NY...
