Ewan McGregor Talks to Ellen About his Adorable Dog Sid!



After his experience on "Beginners," McGregor decided to adopt a rescue dog. (Who rides in the sidecar of his motorcycle...how cute is that?!?!?!).

I love my little Louie monster. He's insane (that's the half yorkie in him), but he's the sweetest little thing. I was ill recently and he wanted to stay with me to make sure that I'd be okay. He likes to take his naps where he can see me and listen for things. He's just a lovely dog, tbh. I love my other bbs Pete and MaMa, too. Keeping the yard safe, chasing away feral cats, and generally being badasses. We have a really good bunch.


I'll have at least one dog for the rest of my life. I don't know anything else.

I used to have a yorkie...oh my god, he was so insane. Sometimes he would just run in circles. And don't even get me started on how manipulative he was. My couch in my living room faced my hallway, so if he felt like he wasn't getting enough attention, he'd wander to the start of the hallway, turn to look at me until I looked at him, then you could just see him kind of sigh, before he turned to go disappear down the hallway, just so he could guilt me in to going to get him and then rub his tummy. He'd also lay his head on my laptop to get my attention.

Oh my god, this sounds like Louie. He is THE BIGGEST BABY. I'm sure quite a bit of it is my fault, but he gets so sad if I ignore him or leave him by himself. It's so nice when I come home, though because he's always so happy to see me.

lives with my ex now. :/ he's a big boy and more of his daddy's son, so it's okay that he's not with me, but sometimes i really miss having a dog

not sure, lol. he's definitely got that pit head, but he's not low to the ground and stocky like a lot of pits are. and last i heard he weighed about 75-80 lbs. so maybe he's a mix?

they are the best tho! mine's an absolute sweetie. a bit hard-headed at times, lol, but he means well. ^^ he grew up with the cat in the pic, and would probably have nothing but love for her if she was having any of it, lol. same with my second cat. i always felt bad they were never down for playing with him, poor pup. he just wants to wrestle! :D

i dont know what i would do without my Henry. Believe it or not he's half pitbull half chihuahua. (the mom was the pit, the dad was the chihuahua) but he's super sweet. He's been there for me since my husband and i seperated. He would always put his head in my lap or lay down with me when he knew i was sad. aww, i need to go hug him now. <3

Ewan is one of those celebrities that has a teenaged kid and I just wonder what it would be like to have your father be that ridiculously good looking. I mean, her friends will all at some point realize that her dad is a fox, and it just seems like it would be awkward.

I also wonder what it would be like be the child of a celebrity with a public sex tape, knowing your friends, teachers, and parents could all possibly sit around and watch your parents having sex. As a teenager, I think that also would be awkward.

We adopted him at a fair the local university was putting on for rescue dogs. He and his brothers were 3 days away from being killed but they were all rescued!

He barks too much and is a food thief but all in all a lovable lil pup.

TOO FUCKING CUTE! I'm so tempted to get my 10mth old puppy/dog a playmate because I think she is lonely. But I dont want to house train again.(I like puppies because you start from scratch) Plus doggy daycare costs for 2 dogs, not sure I can swing it w/o having to re-budget.

so, fun fact. one of my mother's regulars at the bar is originally from Scotland, Crieff to be precise, and attended Morrison's Academy, where Ewan McGregor's father was his cricket coach.
