I've been trying to eat a little bit better lately and ... this post will help

they all look disgusting. except for the chinese food. maybe.

No wonder Americans are so fat.

Who the hell needs Mac and cheese, dumplings, and cottage cheese? And that's only half the plate.

Looking at all that calorie- and sodium-drenched food . . .

I think I'm going to be sick.

I love ONTD posts where we are all ok with sharing our BMIs and empty wallets. :*) Ignoring the food snobs tbh.

I tend to stick to local (Florida) chains like Flanigan's (rib rolls hnnnnnnnngh) and Firehouse Subs. But out of this list I'd prob pick Friday's or Cracker Barrel. No regrets.

poutine purists always complain or whatever, but i like Smoke's Poutinerie. only their traditional veggie poutine. everything else is really gross.

There's this little one called ROCK, just that, and there's one or two of them.
They have the best fucking pizza, they cook it in a wooden stove or something like that.
And they make their own root beer the way it's supposed to be made, rather than buying that A&W shit.

So fucking good.

Sometimes, I want to eat at a chain restaurant damnit. Those mother fuckers will get you drunk.

Also, I know a lot of people who had to work at chain places to get through college. In fact, my roommate still works at PF Changs while she waits for the school system to get their shit together and let her be a gym teacher. I usually hit up places where I know the staff and know where my tip is going.

every single one of these is absolutely disgusting.

Since working at IHOP I can no longer eat the food. It disgusts me.

The food was horribly made and the eggs were like rubber most of the time (I haven't eaten eggs since I quit). And it would take half an hour to make pancakes, when the batter was pre-made. I was a hostess so I wasn't in back too much but when I was there was always food sitting around and a shit-ton of fruit flies.

The customers are the ones that usually got to me, since they would bitch and yell at me for problems during the service (when I only sat them and occasionally got drinks and took orders), and when I asked them if they told their server they said they didn't and still expected me to do something after they ate all the food.

On weekends (especially Sunday since there were about 3 churches in the area) there was usually a waiting list and most of the time people understood they had to wait but once in a while there was a customer that would yell at me that it had been more than the time I told them (usually about 10-15 minutes) and I would have to keep my cool (which is difficult for me not to yell back at someone treating me like shit) and tell them I really had no control of the kitchen, or if other patrons were going to sit and talk after they ate (and we can't kick them out obviously).

Another thing that bothered me was when people had a small check and wanted to pay with a $100 bill. Most of the time I took them, but a few times (and sometimes it was the truth) I told them we didn't have change for a hundred. (The worst one was someone had an $8 bill and gave me a $100 bill saying that's all they had.)

I pretty much ran the front end since the other hostesses were seemed incapable of doing the job, and I had to boss them around when it got busy since all the managers we went through sucked and I had to take charge and then of course when a customer wanted to talk to a manager I couldn't find one and all the problems fell on me.

I quit because of the stress and not having enough time for school. Also because the final manager we got was incredibly disrespectful, changed the rules everyday and yelled at us (usually when there wasn't even a problem) in front of the customers. (These are just a few stories btw.)

denny's > ihop

tbh i prefer denny's because i can still eat there after finding out i'm gluten intolerant. give egg whites, turkey bacon, and hashbrows and i'm a happy gal.

They're all so sticky, tho. :(

I like Perkins, though I have learned to never order their non-breakfast meals.
