She just has...zero depth as a person. Is she gonna be 28 singing about high school-style crushes? IDK. I used to think her music was sweet and cute (Hey Stephen was my jam), but I'm just bored by her lack of growth.
And annoyed by a lot of other things, but strictly music-wise...she's so boring!!
I personally like that she's staying true to her young fan base. I hope that when she does finally "grow up" it's in a Civil Wars or folk direction instead of where most girls in the business go.
Idk it just feels forced now. Or not maybe not forced but like "ummm...aren't you almost an adult now?" Stale maybe? I'm her age and I could not think of a single thing to say about ~mean girls or ~crushes, even if I was making bank from it.
lack of growth or sticking to what worked? lol i agree that her music is boring and its not so age-appropriate but shes consistently won top awards and made the most money as a singer last year so eh, if i were her, i'd probably do the same. growth always isn't a good thing either like gaga's BTW era.
