Kirk Cameron on abortion: "I think that it's wrong, under any circumstances"
On Friday night, actor and evangelist Kirk Cameron joined Piers Morgan for a remarkably honest interview on faith, family, and social issues.
The former star of television's "Growing Pains," Cameron is now a Born Again Christian with strong beliefs on abortion:
"I think that it's wrong, under any circumstances," shares Cameron on "Piers Morgan Tonight." "I think that someone who is ultimately willing to murder a child, even to fix another tragic and devastating situation – like rape or incest or things like that – is not taking the moral highroad."

i think if an idiotic woman had sex and decided not to use any protection or BC methods and gets pregnant - that's an awful reason for abortion.
but at the same time, i think incest and rape are suitable reasons for an abortion. but any other, is just..no. but again, i'm pro-choice so fine.
also, condoms do fail, and same with BCP's.
Seriously. For some reason it's always the women who are "idiots" in these scenarios. Why are men absolved of responsibility?
"i think if an idiotic woman had sex and decided not to use any protection or BC methods and gets pregnant - that's an awful reason for abortion."
I have never met a pro-choice person who DOESNT agree with this. I dont think people realize that we agree with this. No one is ever saying that abortions should be a form of birth control.
The "idiotic" reason you mentioned is exactly why we should increase birth control availability and EDUCATION (which is also something extremely conservative people want to minimize). I think a lot of people have misguided views about contraception, and they end up getting knocked up.
I saw an abortion truck or van a few weeks ago, i was APPALLED. Covered in random quote from the bible that to me, didn't seem to fit their cause, as well as pictures of abortions and even a few baby dolls covered in red paint hanging from it.
If you don't like abortion, don't have one.
But if his daughter doesnt want it, then she has to? That's fucked up.
He's allowed to have his opinion, but people should be offered the choice.
It's totally fine if you wouldnt get an abortion, or if you think they're wrong. But if you can't respect another persons decision about their own life and body, then that's really sad IMO.
I cant imagine seeing a woman raise a child ONLY because she legally had to. If you don't want a child or can't handle a child, then you should make that decision yourself.
And the "just give it up for adoption" argument is silly. For one, the person might not be able to carry the baby ie if they were traumatized by rape. I used to volunteer with orphans and it was incredibly sad. Just because you're given up for adoption doesnt mean you go to a family and have a nice life. Thousands and thousands of kids are either never adopted or go to really terrible families who just wanted money from the government.
Sorr for the long rant, but this topic obviously hits a nerve.
seriously?
god I feel like this will only further him getting interviews.
Go fuck yourself Kirk
brb thanking the Lord Almighty for not giving me Kirk Cameron as a father.

At least it's something.
I don't want him to be gay because I am gay and do not want THAT associated with me at all. It is bad enough I am a human being and he somewhat resembles one.
If he's not gay, it's sad too. It's sad how much of a hypocrite he's being. Loving your neighbor this is NOT
