Comedy Bang! Bang! now for your ears AND eyeballs - Sneak Peek from IFC

The popular Earwolf podcast Comedy Bang! Bang! is coming to IFC as a TV show starting in June starring host Scott Aukerman Hot Saucerman and bandleader Reggie Watts.

This sneak peek, which aired last night after Portlandia, shows an abridged version of the pilot with guests Adam Scott and Sir Dame Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber (also featuring Andy Samberg, Bob Odenkirk and Patton Oswalt).

ETA: Scott Aukerman tweeted @ me confirming 10 episodes this season. And he individually thanked dozens of people who said they liked the show on twitter, which is pretty awesome, you should watch this show since I am emotionally invested in its success.

me rn anticipating this show

Just pick one and go.

The "Farts and Procreation" episode is BRILLIANT, but I feel like if you start with that one then everything else will be a let down. That particular episode is in a different realm of awesome.

I only got into the show in September when I started my new job/had lots of podcasting time, so that episode was one of the first ones I listened to, and it was way funnier listening to it again later when I knew the show better. I think it's funnier in contrast with other episodes, since there was so much anti-humor with the shitty characters.

WHA YOU SAY?! Chelsea Peretti is amazing.

This is a good list. I think it's easier to start with guests that you actually know.

I also recommend basically any Ben Schwartz or Harris Wittels episode.

thank you!

i started with this one (back when there was a live simulcast, jesus that was forever ago): http://www.earwolf.com/episode/enigma-force-five-reunion/

i highly recommend anything with pft, james adomian, nick kroll, or andy daly. adam scott, harris wittels, and jon hamm are probably the best at "being themselves," but pretty much the best part of the show are the characters, and those four are the best.

best of 2009. probably the best "best of" eps, since 2009 was pretty much a vintage year AND the format was the best (scott had all the winning ppl come in and talk, and they ended up doing bits that were so great, they ended up in the best of 2010 ep). also you can just find the full episodes from the clips they play on this one. - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/the-best-of-2009/
pft as andrew lloyd webber (ft. zach g) - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/can-he-sing-jeremy-piven/
tig notaro "invents" good one robot and casey wilson from snl does an AMAZING character who is also the worst - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/good-one/
james adomian is ridiculous as alan rickman in die hard. the ending had me pissing my pants laughing, and i was on the tube in london at the time, and uh... everyone though i was crazy. - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/a-worthy-uhhh/
black friday episode with michael cera and harris as well as james adomian/pft/kroll doing characters - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/happy-black-friday/
the very first episode with james adomian as huell howser. pretty much any ep with huell howser is guaranteed awesome - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/introducing-huell-howser/
also the most recent one with matt besser is really great, i LOVE his bjork impression. then again i just love anything with besser in general.

this rec post is really long and i probably look like a crazy person, but i'm sick in bed and there's nothing else to do. hope this helps!

matt besser and ben schwartz have awesome comedy chemistry, love them on improv4humans, and bjork's vendetta against him was amazing.

good recs, too!

i need to catch up on improv4humans, the few that i've listened to are so amazing!

"Pulled Bjork Sandwich" made me facepalm and crack up simultaneously.

nah man this is awesome, thank you so much!
deconstructs i am still bored and there is still a ton more, so i'll keep going10th-Mar-2012 06:27 pm (UTC)
matt besser's first bjork impression from ep 15: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLDIKsWmSKw
scott activates huell howser's sleeper assassin nature, a la inception: http://www.earwolf.com/episode/history-in-the-making/
jon hamm + nick kroll's characters (el chupacabra, a spanish language dj, and bobby bottleservice) are amazing together. always. - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/the-babys-sunglasses/
a rare instance of pft making an appearance as himself. andy daly plays a suicidal german guy. - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/free-subarus-for-moms/
brett gelman's infamous ibrain. VERY explicit and perversely funny, tom lennon & patton oswalt are also on - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/and-a-happy-new-year/
this is a two-parter, the latter half has an absurd radio play "apology" for ibrain that is just as absurd - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/where-do-babies-come-from/ + http://www.earwolf.com/episode/cool-whip-play-challenge/

okay i'm done for real now.
