Celebrities With Sleep Problems

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

While celebrities often seem immune to many of the health problems that plague us here in normal-town -- do they ever not look fabulous in a bikini? And when has someone ever walked the red carpet with a cold? -- there are several famous faces who have opened up about an important health issue that can lead to a host of serious complications: They can't sleep!
According to the National Sleep Foundation, 60 percent of Americans between the ages of 13 and 64 experience a sleep problem every night or almost every night, and 43 percent say they rarely or never get a good night's sleep on weeknights.

Lol good post OP. Anything that gets self-obsessed ONTDers talking about themselves is sure to be a hit
andbetty 7th-Mar-2012 05:29 am (UTC)
hahaha this is so true
gee 7th-Mar-2012 05:31 am (UTC)

lol well usually if I have a problem I'm dealing with it, I always try and search for a celeb article similar to post and vent about it, gather tips etc from ONTD

lol my sleeping habits are gonna kill me, i usually get 2 hours per night then take a 1-2 hour nap during the day
saltireflower 7th-Mar-2012 05:29 am (UTC)
I have a hard time sleeping because I can't get the 10 billion racing thoughts in my head to stop. I tried Valium for a while, but it's not good to use it for too long.

"Kevin and Danielle had never spent a night together until their wedding night, so she had no clue that he snores so loudly. She loves her husband, but now she sleeps in a guest room when he gets too noisy."

lmao this quote just kept getting better as i read on

i only take nyquil when i'm sick but that shit knocks me out. waking up and stumbling over my own feet and feeling disoriented is a problem though. i went to class after taking the night before and i was still groggy. someone asked me a question and i looked at the guy like he had five heads because i couldn't comprehend what he was saying lmao.

it works though.

I can only sleep once I've exhausted myself so much I pretty much pass out rather than fall asleep. My thoughts are too busy, like I cannot go to sleep without a source of light or sound to distract them. My tv's sleep timer and me are bff.

Ambien makes me trip for 4 hours and just a crumb of melatonin puts into a 10-hour sleep full of nightmares and I wake up spent and scared. Been too afraid to try anything else.

My sleep habits fuck my life up on a regular basis. :/
andbetty 7th-Mar-2012 05:33 am (UTC)
i do this too lately. i can't just decide to go to bed and fall asleep anymore. i have to watch tv or read until i pass out.

diphenhydramine

:( Google tells me it's an antihistamine, can't take those.
heliophyte 7th-Mar-2012 05:33 am (UTC)
Everyone keeps talking about Ambien, but what about good old fashioned booze?!
je_blagues 7th-Mar-2012 05:33 am (UTC)

I can't sleep right now because I'm getting an IUD tomorrow and I'm kind of scared about it. So I don't want to go to sleep, because then it will be tomorrow. :| /coolstorybro

your uterus will be okay.
sowhat_whocares 7th-Mar-2012 05:51 am (UTC)
it'll be okay. it'll be uncomfortable while you are getting it in, and you will cramp the rest of the day - but it's not totally unbearable or anything. it doesnt feel any worse than a lot of uncomfortable gyno procedures we all have to go through, so no worries ;) not painful, just uncomfortable. and it doesnt last longer than day of usually.
venus_orbiting 7th-Mar-2012 06:15 am (UTC)
This makes me feel a little better, ty! :)
jearsforqueers 7th-Mar-2012 05:37 am (UTC)
i fucking hate that feeling when you're so exhausted and you want to go to bed, that when you finally get into bed you can't fall asleep.

that is me right now. actually.. every single night of my life.

FMLLLLLL
mysticlady3 7th-Mar-2012 05:48 am (UTC)
Ugh I hate that. It doesn't happen every night but when it does, it is so annoying. I am feeling that way right now in fact.
sowhat_whocares 7th-Mar-2012 05:53 am (UTC)
I hate when you are SO TIRED you want to fall down dead asleep, but you're so tired you've past that point and you cant sleep.

ive cried before, fucking cried, because I was at that point of utter exhaustion and not being able to shut my brain off. my brain and my eyes were not on the same page.
mhfromnh 7th-Mar-2012 05:38 am (UTC)
when I used to have late classes, I would often get out of class at 9pm and I just wanted to go home and sleep, but driving always brings me right back to full waking alertness and I can't fall asleep for hours after.
foureyedgirl 7th-Mar-2012 05:39 am (UTC)
i've had a lot of issues with sleeping in the last few years, especially lately. Super depressed+anxiety makes it hard to fall asleep at night but makes me so sleepy and tired I have to sleep during the day.
musicalslore203 7th-Mar-2012 05:40 am (UTC)
regular exercise helps me sleep well
as does sex :P

I'm kinda a light, crazy sleeper unless I'm really, really sick or running on very little/no sleep for a long period of time
helloneworld 7th-Mar-2012 05:41 am (UTC)
i am gonna go avoid ONTD now, take some sleeping medicine and force myself to watch the sunset or something tomorrow. i think i am feeling sick too because i have been avoiding caffeine (unintentionally) so i am going through horrible withdrawal.

i'll wake up in the morning with some caffeine, some eggs, and toast.
