The Wanted Making History For UK BroBands!
The Wanted have become the first UK boy band to have a Top 3 US chart hit.
Track Glad You Came has risen to number 1 in the US iTunes Pop Chart and number 2 in the US iTunes chart overall, making them the first British boy band to hit the US Top 3 – the closest feat otherwise achieved was by Take That when they reached No.7 with Back for Good in 1995.
In addition, The Wanted are the first boy band to reach the Top 10 on the US AirPlay chart since the Backstreet Boys’ 2005 song Incomplete, plus they are the first British boy band to have a Canadian iTunes number 1.
The Wanted are seemingly spearheading a British invasion on the US charts with artists including Jessie J, Coldplay and Adele all making their mark in recent times.
This week it has been confirmed that the band will perform live on the Jay Leno show in March - the latest in a line of high-profile US TV appearances including the Ellen Show and Chelsea Lately as well as a slot confirmed for MTVʼs Spring Break Las Vegas.
The Wanted recently finished their debut sold-out US tour and are currently on their sold out UK arena tour which takes in Londonʼs O2 Arena this Saturday (March 3).
Ashley Tabor, founder & executive president of Global Talent, who formed The Wanted 2 years ago, said: “Itʼs absolutely fantastic to see all the boys' hard work paying off, not just within the UK but now also internationally.
“Thereʼs lots more to do, but to think that they started by performing schools tours around the UK only 2 years ago, and today have a Top 3 hit in the US and a No1 in Canada, tells you why Iʼm so delighted for them, British music and the whole Wanted team.”

I do have to say that all of them would be major hot...if they didn't have one...just something not hot about their faces. It's hard to explain.
Particularly Max though. I cannot figure out whats wrong with his face but he should be super hot to me but just isn't.

imo The Wanted is the NSYNC to One Direction's BSB. But only production-wise.

Don't get me wrong, I love Glad You Came, but it sounds sooo much like pm every song that's been popular for the last few years, whereas 1D have a slightly different, pop rock sound.
