Actor, producer, and writer Christian Keyes stopped for a brief interview on the 43rd Image Awards carpet to talk about work and what he's looking forward to when the cameras are finally off. Some news on his current projects, upcoming showcases, and love life:
"I'm writing a little bit of everything. We just shot Note To Self, which is a film of mine. That'll be out this spring. Cast is incredible. Richard T. Jones, Letoya Luckett, Eva Pigford, Brian McKnight...So many amazing, amazing people."
"It's a college romantic comedy. Very fun, very light, but it has a lot of meat in it as well. It's not buffoonery (Tyler Perry shade), it's a good story. He's a college senior and his world falls apart when he expects it to be the easiest year of his life."
In addition to that, "Dysfunctional Friends just came out with myself, Meagan Good, Stacey Dash, and Tatyana Ali. Great story, great cast."
On his relationship status: "I would like to be [in a relationship]. Right now I'm single, unfortunately. I'm looking for an amazing black woman so we'll see.
She would have to be spiritual, I'm a Christian. Keep herself up, got a drive of her own, the kind of woman who's going to be fine on her own and just be better with me. A great teammate. Sense of humor, that kind of stuff!"
"Dating sucks in LA. Dating is awful in LA. I don't know why, but the industry doesn't make it any easier." visit me on the east side tbh
Tyler Perry film star Christian Keyes can currently be seen on BET's second season of "Let's Stay Together."
