ATM we're having the usual mix for the ESC, although it's still missing more trashy Europop.

I'm still for changing the rules, so that every country would only be allowed to sing they're song in their own language. It would be soo much more interesting and entertaining.

I still think, that if the song is really really great, the language doesn't matter. Yes, Ireland had a couple of wins over the last decade when that rule applied but apart from that a lot of non-english songs won or placed among the runner-ups.

Kinda related: I read that in Iceland they have a national registry people can log on to check out if they are related to their significant other. Makes sense in a country of 300,000 to avoid unintentional!incest but it made me lol none the less.

It's a database by a company called Decode genetics.

Marriages+births have been meticulously recorded since the middle ages in Iceland and so Decode got permission to create the database to do their research, and they opened it up for the public.

Most people don't use it to see if their related to their SO tbh tho. I was on it the other day trying to see how far I could trace my ancestors, the oldest one they had was born in 860 AD :DD.

I think I know what article you're talking about though, it was linked to me a couple of weeks ago and I just went WTF???? The title was really misleading.
