'Colbert Report' to Resume Taping on Monday

Stephen Colbert will resume production of his late-night show “The Colbert Report” on Monday, a spokesman for Comedy Central said Sunday.

Production was abruptly halted last Wednesday without explanation, prompting concern among the comedian’s fans. Repeats of “The Colbert Report” were shown Wednesday and Thursday.

People close to Mr. Colbert said that he was caring for his 91-year-old mother, Lorna; although that was not confirmed, he did respond to fans’ well wishes on Twitter on Friday night. “My family and I would like to thank everyone who has offered their thoughts and prayers,” Mr. Colbert wrote. “We are grateful and touched by your concern.”

The part of “The Colbert Report” Web site that announces guests indicated on Sunday that new episodes would be shown all week; Mr. Colbert’s guest on Monday is scheduled to be Ann Patchett, the novelist and owner of an independent bookstore.

So this is good news, I guess. I hope he and his family are doing ok, though :(

i went to his show once and got to shake his hand TWICE! he's so nice and charming. i hope his momma's ok.

I went to the Rally to Restore Sanity and / or Fear a couple years back, and apparently we were very close to him at one point. I didn't even notice, and never would have known if not for my roommate spazzing out about it later.

Yes! I met him when I went to the show too and he was SO SO SO nice. When they played Holland 1945 he came down and danced with me, it was amazing.

Yeah, my dad had wanted to get me tickets as an 18th birthday gift back in '08. My birthday's in May, but we did get an email about a cancellation for the end of August a few months later. They'll let you know and then you have to email back within a certain time frame. The whole thing is kind of a pain, but at least the tickets are free!

Also, this has made me want to give Americone Dream a second chance. I tried it 3 years ago and I don't remember enjoying it all that much. :(

It's fairly simple for a Ben and Jerry's flavor, but it's good. Maybe it's because I love Ben and Jerry's in general.

I definitely think it's better than Late Night Snack, which had the most AMAZING ingredients and therefore should've been my favorite ever but tasted completely underwhelming instead. But Late Night Snack was better than Red Velvet Cake. There's an order to these things.

despite strong opinions, I do not eat Ben & Jerry's everyday, for the record

Oddly enough, I definitely enjoyed Late Night Snack more, and Red Velvet is next on my list to try!

I can't really eat any Ben & Jerry's flavors because I'm lactose intolerant. Maybe I'll suck it up, get some lactose intolerance pills (if they still make them) and try that and Late Night Snack.
