Lily Collins thought ‘Mirror Mirror’ role offer was joke
Lily Collins has said that she thought the offer of a role as Snow White in the upcoming film Mirror Mirror was a joke.
The actress revealed that she initially believed she was the victim of a prank because she was given the good news on April Fools’ Day. Collins – who acted alongside Twilight’s Taylor Lautner in last year’s Abducted – explained that the all-important phone call initially angered her. The 22-year-old daughter of musician Phil Collins told Hello! magazine, “It was Aprils Fools’ Day, so when I got the phone call I thought that someone was playing a prank on me. I was quite angry and thought, ‘If this is someone’s idea of a joke, it’s not funny’. “But then when I realised it was true, I burst into tears and started screaming. It’s the role of a lifetime.”
Collins appears opposite Julia Roberts in Mirror Mirror, which opens on March 30 in the US and on April 2 in the UK.
