Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell can now add “peacemaker” to his list of great qualities.
Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Cornell was spotted last night at the Alaska Airlines lounge in the Seattle airport defending a passenger who was called “a queer” by another passenger.
Our source reveals:
“Chris Cornell was spotted breaking up a fight in the Alaska Airlines lounge in the Seattle airport last night. When a guy in a business suit called another man a queer after he overheard him make a pro-Obama statement, Cornell vocally stepped up in the packed lounge and slammed the guy for making anti-gay comments.”
Nice to see Chris help defend someone who was being bullied!!
According to a passenger in the lounge, Cornell said:
"You're a prick. You deliberately called him a queer to make him feel uncomfortable in front of a lot of people."
We’re told security then came and the man in the suit who made the original comments was asked to leave.
The other passenger and some Alaska reps thanked Cornell for his help and intervention.
Just another reason why we're liking Chris Cornell even more right now.
Chris Cornell has announced select "Songbook" performances throughout May including rescheduled dates for the shows he had to postpone in the fall due to laryngitis caused by flu. The Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter released his first ever solo, acoustic album, Songbook (UME), in November to wide acclaim. The collection was compiled from Cornell's spring run of "Songbook" performances, which highlighted works from his entire catalogue of songwriting including songs penned for Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. Tickets from the previous fall show dates will be honored.
Tour Dates:
5/12/12 Tampa, FL Tampa Theatre
5/13/12 Orlando, FL Hard Rock Live
5/16/12 Miami Beach, FL Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater

(I like his hair shorter)
perfect man
Cool story bro
He needs a haircut, it's making him look like one of those rockers who can't deal with the fact they're no longer 25.
