For whatever reason, as I've gotten older, I've become less focused on 'shipping and more interested in well-written fic about characters and their psychology. Like, give me some good gen Black sisters fic any day, and I'm set.

While most fanfiction is insane and terrible, I will always enjoy curling up with a particularly well thought out and in character one, because it gives me a chance to see something beyond what the creators gave me. I'm not into shipper wars, it's just nice to see that there are other people who (for example) see that Hermione was too good for Ron's stupid ass and to see that take form, beyond my angry rambling thoughts.
I prefer Dean topping but there isn't really a set way to go about it. I have some people get down right abusive over Top!Sam, but they're crazy and I don't bother with them. I say topping for everyone!
Most Wincest fanfics are top!Sam/bottom!Dean. Same goes with J2 (Jared/Jensen). But there are so many SPN fanfics out there that the little number of top!Dean (or top!Jensen) is probably twice as many as all the fanfics written in other smaller fandoms such as Castle, Bones or Fringe.
re: fringe: im not pissed about the lack of peter/olivia, im pissed about how they basically threw out seasons-worth of character development and storylines so they could write this alternate-alternate world bullshit.

Agreed. If the ratings were better and we all knew that another season was in the bag I wouldn't worry so much, but if this is the last season of Finge and we have to deal with this broken down plot line where they ignore very thing that's happened in the past three seasons... Ill be super pissed.
IA but I did like yesterday's episode a lot. I'm just annoyed that they took this route. I would have rather had Peter actually return to another (his) universe. I seriously hope they at least give us one more season to clean this shit up.

see. i ship all three. Harry/Hermione/Ron as a fully functional ship. I think that after after everything they been through with each other, that it can be seen that it could have gone that away.
I prefer Harmony for the sole fact that it was what got me into shipping and fandoms really, so it will always have a special place in my heart. But I can accept that Ron/Hermione was endgame....but I don't like it.

Back in the day, a lot of the H/Hr fans were crazily classist and snobby, not to mention really deluded because they thought it was gonna be canon. They would sneer at anyone who disagreed as being "uneducated" and had these analyses about the Weasley family being evil and abusive because they were poor, etc etc

but in saying that i've come to accept Ron and Hermione. In the end they were a good ship to ship but if you only viewed from a movie viewpoint Harmony all the fucking way

Harry/Hermione/Ron as a fully functional ship. I think that after after everything they been through with each other, that it can be seen that it could have gone that away.
I prefer Harmony for the sole fact that it was what got me into shipping and fandoms really, so it will always have a special place in my heart. But I can accept that Ron/Hermione was endgame....but I don't like it.
Thus fanfiction for me.

I do ship Harry with other people however so it's my be all end all OTP of that fandom.
Harry and Hermione are too much like siblings.
Which is exactly my problem with Harry/Ginny as well.
I ship Harry exclusively with dudes though so perhaps that explains my bias, haha

HHR ALL THE WAY BB, OTP TO END ALL OTPs in HP (although my other ships like James/Lily and Ron/Luna are pretty fab)
I have to say that the movies (unlike JKR) made me appreciate RHr though because goshdarn those adorable kids!
for the dw pt 2 premiere i wore a shirt that said "i judge h/hr shippers" Romione forever.
but if forced to choose Harmony, I like Ron with like Pansy or Luna.
(Anyway, Harry has no chemistry with anyone other than Draco.)
