'Real Housewives' Lisa Vanderpump: 'I Spent Most of the Reunion in Defense Mode'

While The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale ended with a “million-dollar wedding” and then with the women gathering around to support a mourning Taylor Armstrong, the claws apparently come back out for the reunion specials beginning Monday on Bravo.

NBCUniversal Direct sat down with cast members Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi Glanville to discuss the reunion and what didn’t make it on television during the season. And The Hollywood Reporter has a first look at the interview.

Many fans were shocked to see that one of the biggest catfights that erupted on the reunion occurred when Adrienne Maloof confronts Lisa about some negative comments she made about her business ventures. But, it seems that the restaurateur also had a problem with stuff that was said about her that she wasn’t aware of.

“I spent most of the reunion, unfortunately, in defense mode,” Lisa tells NBCUniversal Direct. “I find it really difficult. It’s quite hard when you go through a show and you’re kind of in your own world, which I was very much, I was having fun and working really hard… But, when you see things aired and you see things being said, it’s kind of upsetting. So, I felt I was in defense mode for a lot of it.”

There also seems to be some residual sensitivity for Lisa revolving around Brandi’s continual flirting with her husband, Ken.

“I think I’m keeping the spark alive,” Brandi jokes. To which Lisa replies with an eye roll, “Oh, thanks a lot, I really needed you for the last 30 years.” Awkward.

Part 1 of the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion airs Monday at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

Ah, weddings. The planning, the guests and in the case of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the drama. Though Lisa Vanderpump's daughter Pandora's big day went off without a hitch, she caught some flack afterwards for wearing a tiara -- even though the mother of the bride only donned the headpiece to make her daughter happy.

"I think that just gets bitchy. It's like, 'Oh, why would she do this?' There's no way I have any intention of upstaging my daughter. I don't have that relationship with her," the 51-year-old socialite and restaurateur tells iVillage exclusively about the wedding, which aired on the Real Housewives season finale on Monday. "She bought me the tiara."

Is she saying her relationship with her daughter is bad?

No, she's saying she doesn't have a competitive relationship w/ her daughter and wouldn't upstage her

SHE'S ONLY 51? I would have definitely thought that she was in her 60's. She looks quite a bit older (tho still totally flawless) than my 56 year old mother.

I used to think she was hot shit until I found out how old she really is.
