I hate what's happening with megaupload and other sites, and I loved the first time anonymous did the black outs. But now I have a feeling this will not end well.
yah... they are going to call this cyber-terrorism and pass a ridiculous "security" bill through which will take away our freedoms again, like they did with the patriot act.
lydziRe: WHO DO YOU WANT THEM TO TAKE DOWN NEXT — 23rd-Jan-2012 08:45 pm (UTC)
I want them to re-do what they already did around november, aka taking down more than 40 child pornography sites. Just to make a point to those governments that they are actually doing something important that should be done by them. Because honestly, priorities? Governments are lacking it.
exactly they don't do any real damage all they do is take down websites for a few hours they're overrated although i appreciate the principle of what they do
I could so easily do that. I never buy DVD's or CD's anymore, I don't download, and I never go to the theater. I pretty much have a black every month. lol
This is quite stupid actually because by doing this it's just not the big companies that are affected. This would mostly harm the small, independent businesses, shops, publishers and so on, and they are the ones that need supporting rn
ETA - And the small businesses often depend on the internet and free sharing, so people should support small publishers and businesses instead of the big corporations if they want to protest. Protest against the companies that are for SOPA and PIPA.
No prob at all, I planned on doing this anyway because I am poor as shit. But, isnt this just like the DONT BUY GAS day!!!111. Like, they are just going to have an increase in purchase in April? No?
I feel like I'm in a movie. 8D
