Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Heidi will file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week. We're told Heidi will cite "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the divorce.

But Us Weekly has learned, exclusively, that the supermodel, 38, and her husband of six years, 48, are still together -- for now.
"Nothing is finalized or for sure. Seal flew back from the UK yesterday and he and Heidi are in the house together now," friend close to the couple tells Us. "They've had a very rough road lately. They're either madly in love or having crazy fights."
The friend goes on to say that the couple's recent trip to Aspen was full of tension, adding "they fought a lot. It was a very hard trip."
Seal, who's famous for his 1994 single "Kiss from a Rose" is set to spend the next month in Australia, where he will serve as a coach on the Aussie leg of the vocal competition show The Voice, alongside Joel Madden.
"It's been very hard. but there is a lot of love there, and any decision that will be made is a tough one because they have beautiful children who they both love very deeply," the friend says

can't articulate why i have that opinion because obvs i don't know these people but i recall a tmz photo\story once about him showing his ugly side to her - they were both getting in the car
and he was mouthing off - and it was caught on camera by the paps
it seemed beyond your normal "sometimes couples argue" and ever since, i've always been side-eye at their lavish displays of l-o-v-e
i think that is common among manipulative controlling and potentially abusive men - everything is to the extreme. the declaration of his love - proposal on an iceberg or something? and wedding and renewing vows every year, whereas his anger and disatisfaction was probably equally extreme the other way

i.e: michael c. hall and jennifer carpenter MUST have broken up over julia stiles since she was his love interest in dexter during that time. it couldn't POSSIBLY have been any reason that was private and behind closed doors. nope, the reason must ALWAYS be public.
