Jessica Simpson is Starting a Maternity Line!!

Jessica Simpson has made quite a bit of money with her successful fashion line, and it looks like she will be expanding that line in what will likely be a successful venture.

Simpson recently revealed at a TCA press conference that she will be creating a maternity line next, states RadarOnline.com. “I don’t really love a lot of maternity stuff, so I’m actually using it as a fun business thing to do. So the next thing you will see from the Jessica Simpson Collection is maternity,” Simpson said about her own pregnancy inspiring her.

But for now, she is focused on getting through her pregnancy: “I haven’t started the nursery yet. In the next couple weeks I have to start. The baby’s gotta sleep somewhere.”

Do you think her maternity line will be good?

My feet hurt just looking at her. Heels while pregger? Gurl...
loveconfess 19th-Jan-2012 06:08 pm (UTC)
she looks cute, but i don't understand how pregnant ladies can wear sky high heels all day. When my sis was pregnant her feet swelled so much she could only wear crocs and shit :(
celica18l 19th-Jan-2012 10:58 pm (UTC)
heartbroken by your icon :/
loveconfess 20th-Jan-2012 12:40 pm (UTC)
me too bb :(
jazzy 19th-Jan-2012 06:11 pm (UTC)
billion dollar fashion line and she wears loubotins? is she too good for her own shoes?
bprorsum 19th-Jan-2012 06:16 pm (UTC)
I don't think it's uncommon, despite their success level, for some designers to wear other designer's clothes/shoes/accessories.
treebraids 19th-Jan-2012 06:28 pm (UTC)
I don't see the problem. it is like chefs eating at each other's restaurants. You size up the competition and sometimes you like what you see. I think I would side eye her if she does't wear her own shit at all.
habibty 19th-Jan-2012 07:05 pm (UTC)
she's been seen wearing her own shoes 24543 times, let her wear loubs once in a while
lovepollution 19th-Jan-2012 08:37 pm (UTC)
Honestly, apart from Gwen Stefani, I can't think of any celebrity that wears their clothing brand outside of promotional appearances.
putyohandsonme 20th-Jan-2012 02:26 pm (UTC)
I know, I want almost all the dresses.
_scarlett_icons 19th-Jan-2012 06:13 pm (UTC)
Why would you wear those heels while pregnant?
karahaha 19th-Jan-2012 06:15 pm (UTC)
Whyyyyy do some pregnant women feel the need to wear such high heels?
maryam 19th-Jan-2012 06:29 pm (UTC)
because we gain weight and want to look a little longer/slimmer. Jessica's short like me, and I feel like a lump at 6 months. if she knows how to walk in them, I don't see what the big deal is.
karahaha 19th-Jan-2012 06:37 pm (UTC)
idk it just seems more hassle than it's worth.
guzzlemuzzle 19th-Jan-2012 06:33 pm (UTC)
Because they want to? Why do drunk women feel the need to wear such high heels?
bprorsum 19th-Jan-2012 06:15 pm (UTC)
I feel like she has been pregnant for ages and Beyonce just picked up her child on layaway and announced it to the world.

My timelines must be fucked.

treebraids 19th-Jan-2012 06:29 pm (UTC)
I agree. I swear she has been pregnant longer than beyonce.
guzzlemuzzle 19th-Jan-2012 06:29 pm (UTC)
Yes, why wouldn't it be? Damaging the baby through your feet?
publicfrenemy 19th-Jan-2012 06:30 pm (UTC)
probably, unless you're pretty far along and having balance problems. But I can't even get my heals on because of the swelling, so it's a moot point.
secura 19th-Jan-2012 07:44 pm (UTC)
If this isnt the first time youre wearing them, then yes, they are safe.
extremisttt 19th-Jan-2012 06:16 pm (UTC)
So we're sure it's not gas. I see.
hippie_chick 19th-Jan-2012 06:16 pm (UTC)
I admit to owning two pair of Jessica Simpson pumps and I regret nothing. Most comfortable pumps I've got in my closet tbh.
vonlisbon 19th-Jan-2012 06:22 pm (UTC)
Holler. Cute-ass shoes.
publicfrenemy 19th-Jan-2012 06:29 pm (UTC)
I've seen pairs I liked, but then I learn that they're Jessica Simpson brand and I just can't bring myself to buy them.
upood 19th-Jan-2012 07:21 pm (UTC)
prejudice tbh
get the cute shoes and stfu guurl
treebraids 19th-Jan-2012 06:29 pm (UTC)
someone says this in every post.
xdecadentx 19th-Jan-2012 06:59 pm (UTC)
I hear hers are comfortable, but I have not found a pair I didn't think were really ugly.
glittertoblack 19th-Jan-2012 07:26 pm (UTC)
THIS 103939300XX I have like three pairs of her wedges and they are the only heels/wedges I can stand for hours on end.
preflyer 19th-Jan-2012 06:18 pm (UTC)
get a new stylist already!!!!! this girl does NOT know how to dress for her body
nastymommybitch 19th-Jan-2012 09:55 pm (UTC)
this is why i expect her maternity line to be a disaster. i would never dress like that with her figure.
xcollsangelx 19th-Jan-2012 06:19 pm (UTC)
I'm nervous walking in heels and I'm not pregnant.

thickfreakness 19th-Jan-2012 06:24 pm (UTC)
Same here
publicfrenemy 19th-Jan-2012 06:28 pm (UTC)
I used to wear them all the time, but now I can barely walk in them, pregnant or not.
secura 19th-Jan-2012 07:47 pm (UTC)
yeah i have really bad vertigo so its like balancing on a balance beam but i make it werk~~
missmonkeydust 19th-Jan-2012 06:20 pm (UTC)
Lol with the faux concern for pregnant women, their not ill and don't need wrapped in cotton.

If you're use to wearing heels then you can still wear them when pregnant for as long as you wish, if I were to be pregnant (LOL) and decided to rock heels with my center of gravity being displaced then that would be a disaster because I'm crap in them anyway.

until your feet spread.

I prefer to cover my epic cankles.
camillesaens 19th-Jan-2012 06:29 pm (UTC)
ehhh so you do get cankles? is it common...
missmonkeydust 19th-Jan-2012 06:37 pm (UTC)
Aren't you nearly due? (sorry if that sounds stalky, I just recall your comments)
loveconfess 19th-Jan-2012 06:33 pm (UTC)
I'm not ~concerned, just curious because all the pregnant ladies I know had swollen feet :)
guzzlemuzzle 19th-Jan-2012 06:36 pm (UTC)
It is so annoying, why are they wearing heels? Because they want to! Quit acting like she is going to damage her baby because of her shoes, it isn't like she is smoking like Leah from Teen Mom that everyone was OK with because quitting smoking is stressful.
maryam 19th-Jan-2012 06:23 pm (UTC)
gosh she looks adorable.

I'm 6 months and bought some new Jeffrey Campbells for a wedding I'm going to next week. pregnant women can definitely wear heels. my feel haven't swollen at all (yet).
vonlisbon 19th-Jan-2012 06:23 pm (UTC)
I dread maternity shopping. Fuckin' new wardrobe that can only be worn for a couple of months and that's it. Lame.
publicfrenemy 19th-Jan-2012 06:26 pm (UTC)
go to thrift stores. Cheaper and all the stuff is barely worn, anyway.
maryam 19th-Jan-2012 06:30 pm (UTC)
at 6 months I've only really bought 3 maternity items. I buy looser, tunic-y things (and go thrifting) so that I can wear the clothes postpartum, too.

I'm pretty much allergic to spending money on shit that is only useful for a few months.
