Madonna Finally Addresses Born This Way





Senior reporter Jacob Brenstein hung out with Madonna for an upcoming piece in the January 30th issue of Newsweek, and got her thoughts on Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way.'

    "I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song ('Express Yourself'). I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was...interesting."

usually the PR people read through the list of questions and nix the ones which they don't want answered

With something as stupid as this, the press wouldn't differentiate between the two. Still, they managed to get quotes from her + her publicist earlier this year in reference to GaGa, so it's not like she had to be physically promoting anything to have mentioned something about it.

So then the only reason she's bring it up is for her own publicity? She's not going to talk about it a year later after evading the question numerous times unless it's for her own gain.

She was never asked straight up until now and yes, it's called publicity... welcome to the entertainment business. It's not all hugs and kisses, especially when you copy the structure of one her most iconic songs.

Madonna has played it very classy and has a right to say the words above a year later so that it wouldn't hurt the single when it was out, but her feelings are her feelings and she obviously isn't holding a grudge. She never stopped gaga from doing anything... so why are you caring so much?
