She may be an English rose, but Emily Blunt did her best impression of a surfer girl during her holiday in Hawaii yesterday.

The actress is in Kauai with her husband, actor John Krasinski, their good friend and neighbour Jimmy Kimmel and his girlfriend Molly McNearney.

The foursome were pictured emerging from the surf after hitting the waves together during their New Year's vacation.

Kauai is awesome, though. I have family that has a house there, and we went this past spring. It was seriously the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I was on the lookout for celebs, but we never did see any :( I hope to hit Oahu for a few days next time I go, though, and do some of the touristy shit like swim with the dolphins.

I loved Waikiki Beach, all of Oahu actually. Maui was great though too...a lot more laid back. Next time we go (in many many years) I want to go to Kauai.

oahu is amazing, i loved exploring the whole island. north shore is the best! and also diamondhead cove health bar in waikiki makes the best cove bowls....i miss hawaii </3

I lived there for 8 years and I never met a celeb cause they all went to the other islands lolol

but yeah oahu is amazing, I think most of them think it'll have too many people or the beaches will be too crowded and they want to avoid getting recognized
