as pissed as i am about president obama right now... i would fucking LOVE to listen to/watch him debate ron paul. it would be as enjoyable as watching dick cheney tear john edwards a new asshole in 2004. cheney was an evil bastard but edwards just wasn't equal to him as a politician.

tbh i don't think there are a lot of differences between the democrats and republicans, they just want to keep us debating about them. imo no one in government has our best interest in mind, they are usually greedy egotistical fucks who care about power and money. so i don't even bother voting because no matter who i'm voting for, they don't have my interests in mind even if they run on shit i agree with. once they get into office they do whatever the execs who have bought them out want from them.

The two party system helps no one. No matter what their platforms, or what they say to get elected, government officials really don't have the public's interest at heart.
They answer to the people that fund their campaign.

And the fact that up until Obama, we've been picking presidents from a small part of the nation. Rich, White, over 40, males.

Democrats are not great, but to say there isn't a difference is kind of... wrong. You can't tell me that we would have ended up in Iraq if Gore had been named President by the Supreme Court instead of Bush. It wouldn't have happened, period.

ia. The democrats have the right stance on the social issues (sometimes. A lot of candidates have been wishy washy and that's annoying as fuck) but anymore I think they just use that to get support. They haven't done anything about the issues the citizens care about. They just use them to get people on their side most of the time.
