Did Tyson Beckford spoil the ANTM finale?



On last Wednesday's ANTM episode, Tyson Beckford joined the panel as a guest judge. He took a quick liking to ANTM's charity case Angelea Preston, but didn't care for the quirky fan favorite Allison Harvard, calling her unpersonable and finding her looks uninspiring.

Fans of Allison (known as Allistans) took to Twitter to express their disgust over Tyson's comments, and it wouldn't be the Twitter we all know and love if Tyson didn't feel the need to respond. So of course he responded, and in the process it looks like he may have spoiled the ANTM winner!

Check out Tyson's tweets, including a few tweets about how Allison has no future in the fashion industry and how Allison fans are uneducated losers, under the cut.

He doesn't like Allison, Allison fans retaliate on Twitter, he replies he that knows who wins and he's gonna have the last laugh. Then someone defending Tyson says they're rooting for Angelea as well, and Tyson tells them to keep watching because they're gonna love the finale. He also says that he thinks Allison doesn't have what it takes to make it in the fashion industry and Angelea does.

So it sounds like he is saying that Angelea wins, or at least that's how I interpreted it. But it's possible his tweets mean something else.

as a huge allison fan, she has the most potential on this show. with that said, she's quiet but she's personable. this season showed how much she is personable. it's a reality show and i use that term loosely. so of course they can edit anything and everything. just because she's weird, or didn't hug up on tyson, who by the way, if you keep guest appearing on ANTM with tyra, says already says a lot about you imo. allison might not go on to do anything because she's not a snatch who will throw you under the bus for a spot on the runway. she's too nice for that industry, and that's the only thing that will not get her work. angelea will crack (again) and cause fights with other models, or break down and cry about her poor ghetto lifestyle, and tell everyone KNOW ONE KNOWS ME, YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE I'VE BEEN. bitch please. i want allison to win, but then again i don't.

and lol at lisa saying, i've got it because i've been modeling since i was 10 years old. bb if you've been modeling that long and still haven't made it, there's a reason.

tldr: lol tyson, you're a tyra minion and i see nothing super about you.

so i read that tyra is going to let all the contestants come back, and they are the ones to help vote for who wins, then angelea gets the most votes because they feel sorry for her, which helps the judges make their decision, eventually voting her as the winner. lmao pity vote, plus putting it all on the other models for people to hate.

he's only partly right. allison isn't going to win this season because it's also about acting, hosting and being a "super star." the girl can model, but she's not personable or outgoing, which is what you need to be if you're going to be interviewing celebrities and selling yourself to an audience.

I don't really get why people want Allison to win? So far the competition has involved playing football, dressing up as Snooki, eating hotdogs... you want to see this as Allisons career? It's clearly a dopey season more about being a loudmou- err 'personality' than an actual model.

I think Allison seems super nice and has a great face, but I don't want to see her win. I want to see her get off this stupid show and do something decent with herself. That, and it's pretty obvious she's not interested in modelling. I dunno if people are kidding themselves but she even said at the start she's used to being behind the camera, that's obviously what she prefers, that and her art.

Rooting for Angelea myself, I think she'd be the perfect winner for this cycle, and she seems to really want it. Really meh on Lisa, in a lot of the group shots she just makes me wonder who that random person is that walked on set. That and I think she has terrible fashion sense.

I think besides people really liking Allison's personality, we much rather see her in an Italian Vogue spread and not so much the being a 'super star'. Which really sucks, 'cause the super star prizes and the vogue prizes are an odd combination for whoever wins.

Lisa or Angelea in Vogue Italia is kind of a joke. But Lisa or Angelea as spokes people works out great.
And the opposite for Allison. Great for Vogue, but probably not for the correspondence thing.

Why does she deserve it? She's performed poorly and has much lower callout average than the other girls, she has a shitty attitude, she has dogface, she's got flab, and she can't handle being judged or being given criticism she doesn't agree with it. No, Angelea does not deserve it and she sure as shit has not earned it.

If you want to be a fan of Angelea, that's fine. I don't think anyone's mad at him for that.

But he basically said anyone who's shy or quiet has no personality and is uninspired. That's completely wrong. Plus, Allison never came off as shy to me.

Right now he's coming across as horribly childish. If he knows who the winner is, he has no right boasting about it to make whatever stupid point he's trying to make.

He says he's been in the industry long so he knows what's what, fine as well, but Angelea didn't win the last time, and never amounted to anything after that. She's a loud-mouthed bitch who can't take any kind of criticism.

What'll happen if a modeling exec dares to tell her she's no good? What's she going to do? Call the person a backstabbing bitch, start crying, then storm out? I guess Tyson would know. I bet all of his ghetto model friends do just that.

Like anyone gives a shit about these people's prospects in the job market afterwards. If you pursue it and you are right for it, it might happen. That, however, has nothing to do with this show. It's just crappy entertainment.
