Kim Zolciak: fake bitch, can't haggle
An ONTD exclusive? Hell yes, it is.
As you've all already read, Kim Zolciak made a seemingly out-of-character good decision this weekend: when she got married, she bought a used wedding dress. Hey, in this economy, none of us can be mad at that, right? All the gossip sites, including this one, are reporting that she has a $58,000 dress, but I noticed that none actually say what she paid. Needless to say, I got to sleuthin' (it's Friday, I have no life, do not judge me even for a moment).

What size dress did Kim buy?
Who was the previous bride who spent such a stupid about of money on a freaking dress you wear one damned time?
And what kind of deal did Kim get?

Kim bought the size 2 dress for full asking price. She bought a used dress with zero haggling (which is the custom if you peruse around the site). Despite spending more time than I care to admit searching for it, I can't find the "new" price for the Baracci dress in question.
And finally, the website also did a feature on the bride who sold the dress- a beautiful woman named Janice who had a lovely wedding but makes really poor financial decisions.
She vaguely looks like a prettier Octomom, y/y?

Her maid of honor is her twin sister and she is wearing one of those light-blocking curtains that you put in a theater room

Someone's trying to upstage the bride with her Kardashian-esque armpit pose

NGL, the groom and get it. Definitely more so than Kroy.

Personally, I think this whole used wedding dress website is a brilliant idea when used correctly. I was searching around it earlier and they regularly sell rather expensive fancy dresses for well under $1000. Then they even have the nice, but regular David's Bridal stuff for like, seriously under $200. Why in God's name would *anyone* spend $10k plus on a dress when there are options like this (or even if there weren't options like this?)?
but honestly with my coloring, white looks terrible on me. I look like I'm dying in the color. So white dresses are out. Period.
I do however look fantastic in red, so that's the color I think I'd go with. Silver is nice too. I tend to like wedding dresses that are plain and not to frou frou. I don't like a lot of beading and lace and ruffles. Bows are great if you like 'em. I think they're just wrong. lol
I think I'd for for tea length or even ankle, but straight skirt. Big bell skirts just don't look good on me. No empire waists either, I look awful in them.
I've never found the dress either, but then I haven't found anyone I want to marry either so... lol
i think i am more interested in this bomb ass pose tho
Also, this is McQueen so it's well out of my price range. but I'll find something like it.
omg and it's in a size that could fit me with a little altering... is it weird to buy a wedding dress without even being engaged? please advice.
or this (if the groom let me run wild with a historical theme, haha)
But I think these are interesting styles too, and definitely less traditional:
They were awesome. My mother made me try a thousand dresses and none of them were me, so I made my own.
I'm about to start searching for a wedding dress. I thought about tea-length but I suit pale colours anyway so I'll probably go with cream or champaigne or whatever and be basic.
I like these by Justin Alexander:
My mom just told me that she spent 1,300 euro on a wedding dress...I can't tbh.
Been in love with this since 2 days after I got engaged. Le sigh.
(Btw that's my brother-in-law attempting to teach me salsa, with my husband stepping in like, "Yeah, let ME do this!")
This McQueen would be it all the way for me:
that dress is the ugliest thing in this post.
If I got some Loubs at the Salvation Army, everybody would (and should) be patting me on the back. If I paid $1500 for a pair of used Loubs at the Salvation Army, everybody better smack me upside the head.
On the car thing, my dad drives a Porsche and my mom drives a Lexus. Lexus drivers tend to be "rich". Anytime I'm at the dealership with my mom, it's nothing but LV bags and $400 shades on the other customers. OTOH, the "wealthy" customers at the Porsche dealership, are sooo low-key, that you would NEVER know they are rich if you saw them outside of a Porsche dealership.
